I couldn't get myself through the whole game or last week's due to my mood being affected.

Did we actually see a lead into space and the ball delivered?

Not that I remember more he was in a couple of packs when we just kicked it in hope with Nick also in same pack

The way he was being talked up on here a few weeks back I thought we had uncovered the next big thing
Looked like the perfect pairing for Larkey based on what he was showing at VFL level.

What we got at AFL level was like an imposter.

Probably says that he is just one of those that can’t make the transition, but also says how diabolical our system is that a guy comes in and struggles that bad.

Sellers is the perfect example of how we overhype our own players.
I’m not sure it’s totally on the players.

The system is so broken players come in and look totally lost.

Other clubs spruik their role players, but in order to play a role you need to be in an organised system that everyone is on the same page.

These guys aren’t even in the same postcode.

Tyler hasn’t worked partly because he’s not a good fit for Larkey - playing as the forward closest to goal has meant Larkey has been the hit up forward to the clearing kick down the line, and Souva just isn’t a pack marking forward. Finbar may or may not be ready but as a bash and crash he’s more a complement to Larkey.

Hope Tyler goes back to the 2s and keeps going at it

I'm not sure what Tyler is being told by the coaching staff but he really needs to get on his bike and lead, lead, lead! Larkey gave him the perfect block at one point and he should have taken off immediately but he didn't.

He's not getting involved in the play because he's not involving himself enough in the play. He spent most of his time hanging out the back and when the ball was kicked long in to our forward line, he was always competing for the mark 4 or 5 deep.

Often when he does look like he's going to lead, he takes 3 or 4 steps then aborts. Doesn't commit to it.

He needs to be micro-managed on his forward craft. I think there's a player there but he just hasn't worked out how to get involved.

We felt like we had to move Comben forward, who’d trained all pre season in the backline and who’d looked pretty good in his two and a half games up till then.

Enough said.

We need to keep playing him..
Playing him would be detrimental to the player himself.

He is most likely praying that he gets dropped so he can get out of the nightmare.

What will interest me with Sellers will be if this defines his time at the top level? Will the scar tissue mean we never see him again or will he get back to work so that when the next opportunity comes along he is ready to make every post a winner?

I think we will see what he is made of over the course of the rest of the year.

He’s either just a very good VFL player or someone that wants to make it? Up to him really.

Ball delivery into the forward line has not helped him and he has to get use to team structure also. They might play the same type of game plan in the vfl but playing with the AFL team is completely different. Leaving him in the AFL side would be the best way of seeing if he can make it or not. After speaking to him on Saturday about his game against Geelong it seems to me from his response that he is willing to keep trying for as long as the club keep him in the side. Time will tell but more time is needed..

That’s where we differ. You can’t keep throwing a bloke to the wolves after a 1 possession and 2 possession game and expect it to work.

There comes a time where keeping him in that side is not only doing his confidence damage, but those around him.

If he goes back and gets some confidence and works hard there will be opportunities again, but at the moment he needs to be dropped for his own sake.

Unfortunately, at the ground, Tyler looked all at sea. Right now, while Comben is in defence, Zurhaar is our only option. At least, Cam can impact the game. Playing with Sellers is like starting one man down. Sellers and CCJ have only proved adept at getting in Larkey’s way. We all know Nick is not an ideal Number 1 target. However, right now, he’s our ONLY option. What’s the value in getting in his way? If Larkey could start holding his marks better, he would be a legit Number 1 target. Let’s focus on that.

Yeah I don't really think it's this guy's fault that every time we get the ball at 50 we wait 30 seconds for the opposition to structure up and block all space a KPF could conceivably lead into. It's not his fault he has to fly for marks in the middle of a huge pack on the end of a long kick and either take the mark of the century every time or not get a kick at all for the whole game.

There was a point in the third, when the game was done, I thought we missed a chance for him to shift into the middle with the instructions go nuts for two minutes and give it your all, bulldoze a couple of players, get a touch of the ball, in the knowledge he was probably going to be dropped for his development.
