I was having a chuckle at that footage. I think Cumbo was full tilt during the warm up, and Yze had to slow him down. I’m not sure he’s the sharpest tool in the shed. Yze found it amusing.

He was okay. I would have preferred Mansell on Stewart but it is what it is.

Would have made alot more sense to me.

Cumberland plays best with some freedom, Mansell thrives on the hard stuff. I don't understand that match up. Cumberland did okay though.

Let him play the whole year. Been wrapped up playing against good opponents the last few weeks. He is easily the most explosive of the young guys. Just waiting for it to all fall in place.

still reckon hes a midfielder. went in there a handful of times in the 2's and looked good imo, got involved. fp is a waste of his assets when he's not a natural crumber or finisher.

He showed some better offensive signs on Saturday night which is a result of confidence growing from doing all the team things in a more stopping role vs Stewart..

You could see he was much improved on Stewart from the week before on Ridley

All you can ask for is improvement

Only thing about the midfield for him is that even the most offensive blokes need to be really accountable or at least be super aware of their positioning otherwise teams will exploit and use the corridor more often

He’s got the physical tools but his lack of overall footy iq will be what holds him back from that kind of move because it’s still his biggest negative in the forward line

Maybe the odd centre bounce and than pushing back forward straight away like we see guys like Stringer do might be possible

Needs to work on his tackling technique. Had playees stone cold dead on Saturday and they brushed him off so easily.

Other than that, his efforts and pressure were much better.

that stringer/de goey role is what I'm thinking. he'd need to do a preseason training in there. not expecting him to make the transition this year. he just has so many parallels with george it's crazy, I had the same midfield thoughts for jason as well.
focus his energy on just winning us the ball and getting it forward rather than being in the most difficult position on the ground that generally only the elite footy iq smalls excel in.

I think it was how we would utilise shedda in the middle as well
It was essentially throw shedda in goal side of the stoppage go for the clearance but if it didn’t work he would push back half forward straight away and have a guy like Lambert push back into the midfield and swap

What have we done to his goal kicking action? He had good technique and was a bit of a dead eye not too long ago. His kicking action is very poor currently.
