That's why he kicked 3 goals the week before ... but let me come back to you with a more detailed answer ...I just need to pop over to the Dow thread and read about how the 5th worst performing player in the AFL just needs 50 games ... and a good midfield around him ... and another 5kg in the off season ...

I'm back ... ... forwards defending defenders ... it's as stupid as it sounds ... leave Cumberland deep 50 permanently ... if his defender runs off he will kill them if we rebound through the centre everytime

Noah needs to stop chasing his defender and he will kick 5 every week ... this pressure forward stuff is old tactics ... need to come up with a counter style ... AFL tactics are.so slow to evolve ...

Maybe just set your zone deeper without two players like Dusty and Noah remaining in your forward 50 ..

Forwards defending lol .... what a bloody oxymoron
5 goals a game! You honestly believe this dribble you've posted? A hundred goals a season.....Ha ha ha. This spud wouldn't kick that in his entire career. Now I know you Cumbo fan boys are a little short on brain cells.

Wow, just wow. You typed all that and completely missed the point of my post. It's not about Noah needing to play as a defensive forward.

The opposition knows Noah is a weak link defensively so they get their match ups set so that they can get a player who can be damaging on the rebound to play on Noah and Noah doesn't know what to do when that happens to become a threat himself.

On Saturday we tried playing him as the deepest forward, yet when the ball bounced he pushed up to half forward and played into his opponents hands.

As I said he needs to learn how to become a threat even when things aren't going right so that the opposition can't play off him

My biggest gripe since our dynasty era, but Lynch and Dusty rarely did as they were paid to attack . Jack to a lesser extent as his defensive pressure was better bc of his mobility. Yep Yze expects every forward to be in the fetal defensive position and we're now scoring even less than the team he came from. The opposition defenders are basically getting a free exit out with our zones too far up the ground and even if we win the footy we're still a kick or more from goal under the pump as nobody is there to kick too.
DAH DAH DAH DAH seven games we've kicked under 60 points and Snoyze hasn't come up with anything different.. He'll work it out one day. lol

I'm trying to think of a player who has attracted such a wide divergence of views from the Bigfooty fanverse as Noah Cumberland. I know we have had players that some have thought 'he'll never make it' vs 'He can be a valuable asset', but I can't recall one where his supporters insist he has the capability to be an absolute star, while his detractors label him as one of the worst, most unimpressive players they have seen.

The Silky Butterfly.

Highly talented physically gifted
Worth being more patient for bigger upside
Very conditional player imo

1-2 good games and 10 extremely sh!te games
We cant carry players that dont have it mentally and he is mentally cooked before he walks on the ground, I dont think we can fix that.

2nd player delisted if i am the list manager

Who dat ?

Did he play a game for my club
Don’t know who your club is . 😂
Didn’t play one for the rfc that’s for sure. I think in his two major threads he got close to 700 pages and there were some previous smaller threads before being traded to us as well as the trade discussions in the trade threads. He’s second to none by a long shot.

Speed around the ball was the glaring difference between the two teams on Saturday. I'm scared to say that the most dynamic mid we have atm is T Dow. He at least moves at pace to create seperation.
They shifted us around like a deck of cards , we were chasing shadows most of the afternoon

what you dont see on TV is how his opponent(Scrimshaw) worked off him when the ball was back in their hands. he neglected to chase or even notice his man was running away from him - rather his body language was terrible and head was down to even notice!
That was glaring , no second effort

cumbo needs space to work with the ball

when we played with dimma style the ball came in quick and the defense had no time to set up

now we enter F50 so slow that he is getting caught in more 1 on 1s and losing most of them

imo cumbo probably suited dimma gameplan but just a shame he didnt play much after 2022

not like we have any others banging the door down. give him a few more games i reckon
I’m not sure Dumma had that sentiment about him being suited

I just don't think Cumbo is suited to where we're at right now. He's a bit of a downhill skiier and struggles to work himself into the game if we're not winning.

I know they don't play the same position but would love him to mould the second half of the year on what HRS has been able to do. Even when HRS isn't having big games offensively, he has been able to make an impact defensively by running hard and getting to contests. If Cumbo can start to adopt that attitude a bit more we might have something.

Go finish your morning bottle of Jim beam boy. It’s good for you
You’d know. You were obviously pissed posting Cumbo would kick five goals a game or you’re a complete idiot.
