That's not what I said at all.

The opposition have worked out that they can play an attacking defender on Noah, knowing that they will more likely have a better impact on the game than Noah does as Noah only seems to thrive when the game is on our terms.

Which is why I said he needs to.learn how to impact when things are not going well for him or the team. He has played the last 6 games and his best game was our only win, in the others he has struggled while his opponent was very good.

Please name the other small forwards that excelled during our losses while Cumberland was struggling.

Another way of thinking about it is that the opposition don’t even bother putting one of their better defenders on our other small forwards

I think we are just amazed that some tiger fans can watch Richmond lose week after week and somehow focus on Cumberland as the only player not pulling his weight. I am amazed that we are so reliant on his efforts that he alone can determine the outcome of the game and is the subject of so much criticism. Criticise all you like but try and share some of your angst to some of the other players who also struggled.

He had a shit match-up v Hawthorn and we were average in our i50s. We would’ve have been better kicking the ball along the ground, I honestly don’t know why this isn’t something coaches instruct players to do.

The biggest problem for Cumdog is he needs maximum X factor to be an AFL player. His skills are average so in order to get value out of him we really need that erratic style of play to help him dominate. Richmond 2017-2020 would’ve made him look like a superstar, too pussy these days.

I agree that there are others that should also be held accountable for our lamentable performances, however, this is the Cumberland thread and it’s his worth that is being debated.
