I’m starting to get nervous for cumbo …. Still no deal announcement. Can anyone politely message cumbo on Instagram or something to ask him what’s going on?

Noah’s been told to wait until after trade period before deciding what to do with him. Had interest from pies a few months ago but that’s seemed to have died down. Source: Gettable Pod

Yeah that sounds plausable. We haven't really heard of delistings yet and you would think that most of ours will need to be AFTER trade period given the potential losses on our list.

Tough for players to have to wait to know if they have played their last AFL game.

Thanks for the update! I should have read this before my most recent comment in this thread

Why would we delist such a potential gin player

"As expected, Brisbane Academy utility Noah Cumberland place inside the top-five in the 20m sprint and top-10 in the agility. Cumberland is an ultra-explosive line-breaker who makes things happen with ball in hand and may attract a bid mid-draft."

This guy if given a chance to build his tank and played midfield potentially could become the next Chad Warner

Too lazy no second efforts and cracks poo quickly. Only chance he has another team and change in mindset.

That would require him to play in the midfield in the VFL, and you may not be aware, but the VFL is not for experimenting with players in different positions, but about winning games. Hence AFL players like Cumberland rarely go through there, much better to get games into young VFL listed players for some reason.

The VFL does my head in. Smith went into the middle for one quarter in the VFL, and aced it. Not seen in there again, he's a half back flanker. Cumberland spends all year treading water at half forward. Crying out for a forward at AFL level and Bauer spends his time down back. MRJ has the odd moment through the middle and looks very good through there, as did Cumberland who was given half a game or two in there at one stage. Stack spent a year at half forward before delisting, rather than half back where he made his name. I could go on....

and its not even just about finding a new position for them, it makes them more rounded players by injecting them into the middle. suddenly cumbos more confident to get up the ground and find the pill more. riolis more comfortable weaving through traffic. smith finds more contested footy. vfl should be about getting players to reach their maximum potential not just planting them in a position and crossing your fingers it all clicks.

Boy it must be deflating to be told to wait.
Everyone around him getting a extension.
Got to hold that hope, and possibly a little bit of luck.
And it's Cumbo train 25' !!

I'm happy for Smith to stay back. Need D. Rioli replacement. Smith or Hugo fit the bill. Hugo was acing it off half back before he got promoted to AFL.
MRJ's good form in the middle in the VFL might make him Graham, Baker, Bolton mid/small fwd replacement.
Upside of Bauer, Blight, Grey back and fwd, ultimately cements Balta to permanent KPD.
Cumberland's AFL form probably not going to see him retained IMO. Just not quite good enough.
Got too much small fwd depth ahead of him, even under Yze.

He's at the bottom at Punt Road. If another club thinks he can make it, good luck.

They should have done it last year when they had the chance basically to improve a players ability.
