LDU wouldn’t be far behind either.
Top three are clear standouts and race is wide open. Corr Powell or Larkey would be a very distant 4th
LD had a slow start imo but has picked it up lately. Powell too inconsistent. And corr is serviceable lately but was very bad early on and terrible on the weekend

Chom the one that's a dark horse imo

True I forgot about him. If he hadn’t missed all those games earlier in the season he wouldn’t be far behind the leading pack.

Agree entirely.

If either LMac or Tucker starts to use the ball consistently well, I'll head to their thread with my own "I'm just glad he proved me wrong".
If Curtis Taylor manages it I won't be glad, simply because that means we will deprived of seeing him on reality TV for even longer!

Giggling at all the "I'm just glad he proved me wrong" posts.
Not sure where the hate was coming from, his VFL performances were excellent. Never in doubt he'd be at least serviceable but he's getting better every game. As someone stated earlier he'd be a bloody good candidate for captain.

I think a lot of people just saw an unco ruckman that struggled with contested marking and giving away frees. Plus he wasn't Goldy.

All the dude needed was continuity, he would have got it earlier even with Goldy on the list but Big X kept racking up month long injuries every now and again for a 2 year block.

I always thought all the ingredients to be locked in as our ruck were there as long as he could stay on the park, but I was expecting him to be more on the serviceable side rather than the beast he's become. Absolutely loving what he's serving up and expecting even more improvement in some areas as he gets more experience (still only 46 games into his career and the majority of those he wasn't the primary ruck!)

It has been a season of many surprises with regards to Tristan, but the nicest surprise for me has been goalkicking, he has such an easy, simple routine that you would hope he gets two or three shots a game and you'd be pretty confident that he would convert most of them.

Set ya ****in watch to it.
Still prefer that over doubling down on the stupid like some around here…
Also better than "the penny has finally dropped" calls that incorporates self-righteousness with arrogance and the refusal to acknowledge that a player simply needed time and patience to build strength, fitness, conditioning and a little experience.

expecting this bloke to do an absolute number on gawn this week since gawn seems to struggle against physically awkward ruckmen like xerri and possibly get his name in the AA squad conversation.

If he beats BMG we win imo.

he will, BMG always struggles against lesser ruckmen that brutes strength wise and awkward ruckmen like xerri. not saying xerri is a bad ruckmen, but there’s only certain types of rucks in the comp that max does well against.
Personally, although I won't be looking at the time, I hope BTX pulls down BMGs pants and then gives him an atomic wedgie with his jock strap.

Tristan has been playing well but so has Max . Big test for our Big man needs to break even to give us a chance. Dees coming off a break but Petracca a huge loss. Of course you know LDU will probably be out because that’s what we seem to do when we start looking good.
