The stats don't tell the story and that's why watching games always takes precedence.
That was a demolition job on Max.
Just bullied him. If X hadn't announced himself as the premier ruck yet, he has now.

Gawn made it his goal to take the number 1 ruck mantle from Goldi in 2016-2018 and he did.
7 All Australians and won the flag in 2021.

But following todays game there is most definitely a new sheriff in town.

What X did to Gawn today, particularly at the start of the 4th quarter was unforgettable.

He was doing this in the VFL. Some people refuse to watch.

There are a thousand players in history who dominated state footy and couldn't replicate it at the next level. A lot of them ruckman.

The fact that we would have taken a 2nd rounder for him suggests even the club didn't foresee this level of dominance.

Was a second rounder and a first wasn't it?

O wow I stand corrected. A future second... and they didn't cough up. Ludicrous.

A cage match for the ages.

That brutal contested mark in the goal square was the equivalent to the knock out off the top rope and ripped the Heavyweight Belt straight of Gawn's waist. You could see the look on Gawn's face as well. Nobody does that to him.

It's Xerri's belt from here on out.

What do you mean "will" ffs. These journo's...

Gawn had his best season statistically in about 6 years last year and edged X by a bee's dick in some stats.

He would have been the AA ruck in pretty much most years for the previous decade with those numbers.

He's gone up another level, again. As he's now using his clearance dominance to release team mates.

It's not "will" it's undeniably "is"

Like the umpires ,even Gerard had to give up yesterday and acknowledge our superiority.Said it many times we have to be extra good to beat the “outside”influences. Like pushing the opposing sides to the boundary if they kick the goal well they are just too good. We need to aim to the 90s philosophy just hammer the other team into the ground so nothing can get them even remotely close.
