We were on board the Cincotta train early! I had the feeling that if he was on the list last year he would've been selected for a few games. He's just such a ferocious competitor with great athleticism and nice skills, a great combination.

Despite setback after setback, Cincotta's living his AFL dream

Taken on deadline day of the Supplemental Selection Period, Alex Cincotta is intent on making every moment count.

I'd describe him as a raging bull across half back. Not sure of his defensive capabilities if your referring to him as a lock down defender - but hasn't done a lot wrong at VFL level over the past few years up against AFL listed opponents. Him and Radovanovic have been our standouts in defence - and I reckon the latter may be kicking himself a little making the decision to head back to suburban footy this year - would definitely have been in the mix for the last spot.

Whether Cincotta takes the next step at AFL level only time will tell - but one thing we can look forward to is that he'll be giving 110% at every contest when he does get the call up. He's been training with the main group over summer, and hasn't looked at all out of place in match sim. And if nothing else, he's up to scratch with our defensive systems, so he's not coming in cold like poor ol' Nigel last year.

What a GREAT story of perseverance though.

If his disposal and decision making is as bad as Tom's , he's in strife.

Loved Tommy but some of the long bombs into the forwardline where we had no forwards were truly perplexing. Sometimes he name Robbo look like silk.

When I saw his highlights reminded me of Heath Culpitt. Maybe a bit quicker.
