Dish was a rubbish set shot and a flat track bully. Far too often went missing against the better defenders
Nah, not sure I can cop that.

Kicked goals on Rance
Kicked 6 in a quarter in massive game against the Bullies in Arch's big game
Kicked goals on Lake

Drew was a gun. If he had have played forward his entire career rather than a swingman for years his numbers would have been very, very good.

I think he was playing on a bloke named Brian Harris that day. You don't hear too much about him anymore.

Serious question for the serious VFL watchers.

Could this guy be the answer to our long term CHB hole and allow Chom to play CHF full time?

Honestly? No.

He's a pure forward. Not a swingman.

Pre lim v port in 07 - 0 goals
In the semi V hawks 1 goal

In 08 EF, 1 goal v sydney, 1 goal v west coast

2012 EF 1 goal

2014 - good season

2015 - 3 goals across the entire finals campaign.

Ya kidding me. He went missing. Far too often he wouldn’t kick the clutch and important goal to get us a lead or break momentum.

He was an OK full forward. Par.

Our midfield was the thing that went missing in those finals. You don’t get beaten by 45+ on average in those finals losses without your midfield getting their pants pulled down.

Might sound harsh … but Should have just delisted this guy sorry… he’s just using a valuable list spot . Not going to make it & get a look in the AFL program. He’s just below par to play AFL footy . Good for the club / cult hero & all that but just a backyard VFL suburban footballer. You can also throw in Cooper Harvey & Lazzaro in the delist list too.
Never going to make it .

Congrats. Possibly the dumbest thing I’ve read on Bigfooty. And that takes some beating.

21, just came second in the vfl best and fairest and is about 46% of the completed footballer he will become.

His trajectory line is more upright than a giraffe.

May make, may not, but to be categorically written off after such an impressive season shows you are football illiterate.

Might sound harsh but **** me ………

If you can’t tell what an AFL standard potential recruit is vs an at best VFL standard player by now then you don’t know nothing …. I like & would love nothing more to be proven wrong but you can tell that Finbar will only be VFL standard at best ..

i'm probably not qualified to comment, having not seen Moose live.....but some of his grabs were pretty outrageous Rossy. Surely there's something to work with there, or at least give a bit more time to

You actually previously called him a backyard suburban footballer at best.

Seems like he’s already passed that mark

Club is quietly confident they've found one here. Not just a contributor either, but a player, who might just have a long-term future at the top level.

Just needs to refine his game sense when playing forward and needs to add a few kg's so he can compete with the big boys.

What rubbish.
Did this come from your mate ITK?

Just stick to posting the same 3 gifs

Anyone writing off Finn at this point of his career frankly knows absolutely nothing about footy.

Finnbar was 20 years old at the start of this season and played 0 AFL games.

Nick Larkey also played 0 AFL games the season he was 20 years old. He turned out just fine, if you ask me.

You don't even have to dignify it with a rebuttal backed by evidence. It's such an unhinged thing to say at this point in his career that it rebuts itself

You guys don’t get it FFS .
I like Finbar & wish he becomes the next Drew Petrie but I just don’t see it … VFL ONLY.
Whose spot does he take next season.?
Larkey , Darling ? Teackle ?

Of course he doesn’t take Larkey’s spot.
Though we and he would be travelling well if he is pushing out Darling.
He’s a project player. As was Larkey at the same age. We need some of these projects to come on for true success. He’s a low risk high reward investment.

Edit.
I recall many posters saying the same thing about Archer this time last year.

Not from me Archer always has had AFL standard traits …

We’d be looking at him as a forward/2nd ruck you’d think.
So probably competing with Teakle at this stage.

He can also use his leap and hands to take a few contested grabs from kick ins, or those get out kicks take on the wing, that would be a huge win structurally.

Xerri was durable this season. But we’re pretty light in the ruck dept after him. Might be required to contribute in that regard.

He’s got attributes that are important and we lack.
