Watching Perez at the ground kick from deep in defence and take off for the handball receive and get it back, he is a serious athlete. Very fast over that 20-80 metres and a very smooth mover. But obviously you want them to be a footballer first and he has a lot of good stuff going on there too.
I thought he moved like a gazelle. Very graceful.

He is also a dead ringer for a young Arnie, before he got huge.

Surely he does. Didn’t look great for a lot of the season, but improved after Patch took over. His last game was very encouraging. Need his skills.
He was fine all year considering it was his first real consistent stint at top level

Surely there is absolutely zero chance he doesn't get a new contract. Tough, athletic, skillful and improving defensively. Prototype half back/ back pocket
Is a dual kick and he is very fast in a straight line.

ROOS PAIR SET TO STAY

NORTH Melbourne youngster Flynn Perez is closing in on a new deal at the club, while Lachie Young is also expected to remain at the club.

Perez is out of contract after playing 16 games this season, but is likely to be locked in for next year at Arden Street.

The speedy 21-year-old had an injury-hit beginning to his career with a knee reconstruction in 2021, which was his second ACL injury.

The Roos are also expected to retain Young on a new deal, with the former Western Bulldogs defender playing 35 games over his two seasons at North Melbourne since crossing from the Dogs in 2020.

As AFL.com.au revealed last month, North Melbourne has applied for two extra list spots as part of their pitch for AFL assistance from the League along with priority picks.

They have re-signed Cameron Zurhaar, Curtis Taylor and Aaron Hall in recent days. – Callum Twomey

I like this but means we will lose Atu, Jed and Turner at least, I suspect that is even if we get the extra list spots

Only offered one year with triggers. Disappointing when players like Laz and Mahoney get multi year terms, we couldnt do better for flynn.

Good!!
Then in 2022, my team said "son It's time you stopped rambling, there's work to be done"

Ball is in his court, and should he get fit he'll earn more next contract extension.
