Suns are desperate for some sort of relevance in AFL. FMD they are clinging to Dusty like he is some sort of hero for their club. Has there ever been a sporting club so irrelevant they need to cling to an opposition player as if he was one of their own greats. What a tinpot fabricated nothing franchise.

Yup they are trying so hard to manufacture a rivalry when it simply doesn’t work like that
They are doing a good job in pissing fan bases off but not in the sense of creating a genuine rivalry
I brought up how GWS are doing a much better job in calving out thier own space in the comps landscape and part of that is focusing on themselves
They have already started to create a genuine rivalry with the dogs that grew organically through that 2016 finals series and continues to build on itself year over year like all genuine footy rivalry’s did (organically)

Yep, rivalries in footy are created on the field, not in the respective marketing departments.
Any manufactured faux-rivalry gobshyte is superficial and hardly lasts until the end of any match weekend.
We've actually built a bit of a rivalry with GWS because we've both been successful at the same time (just like Geelong v Hawthorn, Richmond v Port etc.) and this has happened organically by way of serious finals clashes.
Suns can dream/fantasise about success and rivalries with teams like Richmond - meanwhile the biggest dilemma I'll have to face this weekend is which premiership stubby holder I'll take to a mate's barbeque.
