We could do worse than get the pill in this blokes hands a bit more. Rarely wastes a possession.
Hope more trust is put in him by the coaches and his teammates.

He still needs more confidence to take a couple of extra steps in perceived pressure scenarios.
I said this in the opposition observation thread once but can really see him playing a Gulden type role which is a hybrid wing/midfield role. Sonsie can use it well with both feet and he sees the game well.

Our best MF by a mile today as he didn't butcher it. Needs extra class around him to support him.

24 pressure acts for the Sons. Biggest knock on him when drafted was that he didn't gut run and do the defensive stuff.
Equal most for Richmond with the likes of Baker and Mansell who are renowned for their pressure.

My favorite junior at Tigerland, is going to develop into a very very good player.
Classy player who just needs to add a little more size and strength, as he’s not got the size yet to attend all Centre bounce situations.
Even now, with 5 of our better and bigger mids missing, he’s still being managed in there.

Yeah I watched him closely. He was chasing hard every time.
He’s really impressive providing an outlet when we are attacking or even showing us some of that kicking that we were really excited about when we drafted him

Sucks right now because we aren’t getting enough opportunities to showcase it

Hopefully he holds his spot in the midfield once we get some more cattle back

On the left foot too. Only the 1 clearance but he was up against it. He'll benefit massively from a Hopper and Taranto in there.

If he get's dropped for Prestia or Graham this week I'll ****ing spew.

Yeah I would be extremely disappointed if that turns out to be the case
Likewise for Dow
Want to still see these kids in the middle but with some actual support and experience around them

He had another moment in the last qtr where he received it around half back after the ball was switched and he hit a 40m kick that hit one of his team mates on the tit and you could hear the commentary team murmuring in appreciation.

That's why players like him and Brown need to play every week and be utilised more as they will just grow in confidence.

I feel like he is confident on both sides. Which is super rare. One of his first touches he feigned to go on his right down the line but then hit a long pass with his left to the opposite wing.
The goal he kicked was on his right I'm pretty sure.

It's an underrated weapon.

100% Sonsie and Brown are in that category for mine where it’s just about pumping games into them and riding the form fluctuations for better or worse for the long term gain

Nah bugger Dow, he's had enough chances to impact. Time for McAuliffe to get a free ride for a while like Dow has all season.

id rather he not play with TT, he will forget how to use the ball and learn how to get it.

No need to be a dick about it.

Sonsie hasn't even had a chance to prove himself in the middle so far this year.
It's not being a dick to point out the obvious to someone who refuses to see it. Oppo supporters coming onto our board to tell us our coaches have no idea what they're doing. I can imagine the treatment I'd get if I went onto the crows board and told them how to run their team. I'd be told to fro.

So who's the dick ?

Brown is going to be a gun. He’s only played a handful of games and his composure is unbelievable. Should also be the main kicker out of the backline.

Sonsie can find the ball and has good link up play. Defensive effort was there but needs to get stronger and quicker. Literally if he puts on size his clearance work will come with it. A grade potential
Yeah his good efforts are good...but then they taper orff...as if its enough...needs to build further on these efforts!
Needs to get stronger and harder if he wants to play successfully agin the big boys!
Hoping that there is still room for improvement in the Sonz...

No he needs better players around him so he can continue doing his terrific work as that will stop then three other midfielders hammering him to the ground. He was our only genuine midfielder on Sunday.
