If hes physically and mentally right and in the form he was in the 1st half of season 2021 then happy days!
He was on fire in the 1st half of 2021 ;-

games - 11, average disposals - 12.5, goals - 2.5, tackles - 3.1, marks -2.8

But he declined rapidly in the 2nd half of the season;-

games - 8, average disposals - 6.7, goals - 0.8, tackles - 2.1, marks -2.2

Lets hope a year off has freshened him up and allowed him to bury any demons he may have had. If he has his mind and body in the right space to play like he did in the 1st half of 2021 then he will be a huge asset to the team and list - especially with the young aboriginal boys coming through...Comon Tippa!

My boy! Never gave up on the hope he’d change his mind. His story has much more to play out. Helping to lift this club out of mediocrity might be too much to ask but giving supporters more Tippa joy while we inevitably yo-yo in performance is enough for this jaded supporter.

I'm really glad to hear that Brad Scott had a major role in bringing him back.
It is early days but I am liking Scott's approach. Seems to be low key but getting things done behind the scenes.

He certainly speaks very well and clearly. Hopefully his footy message is as clear.

I know it is a moot point, but does Tippa come back if Rutten still in charge?

he played well under Rutten.
And my read is that it wasn't the club that was the issue, it was footy focus in general with everything going on outside of it.

If Davey Jnr does slot into the senior team, that could be alongside returning forward Anthony McDonald-Tipungwuti who on Thursday backflipped on his decision to retire.

“I was very happy,” Davey Jnr said of McDonald-Tipungwuti’s decision to return.

“I did a bit of pre-season with him before so I’m really happy he’s back at the Bombers.”

on the fitness side, he managed to keep himself in shape to play the most consecutive games any player the club has had in the AFL era.

Really not concerned about his body or his ability to get it in shape if he has the drive and time to commit to it.

perhaps there's a good many at the club who could take note and follow suit

Will get every chance to play - but he is very unfit right now. Would be staggered if he plays round 1. Dons supporters should expect him by round 12.

If he can get up for Round 1 it's because the sub has been discarded and they've implemented a 5 man bench.

Club are very impressed with his workrate and obviously, his skills haven't deteriorated one bit. However, the fitness is a huge ? right now.
