So you'd let him walk to another club and not match it if another team offered 600k?

Personally i think he's totally worth 600k over 3 to 4 years and we haven't seen his best yet due to having an inconsistent midfield, revolving door forward line and scrappy entries often putting it on his head, aswell as making him chase way more than required defensively due to our bad lock in pressure...

I'd personally like to see him freed up a bit on the outside in the midfield or protected even as his field kicking and distribution is arguably top 5...

600k all day...

i dunno.....im unsure how tight our cap is after we brought it Smith, Stringer Saad, Shiel etc

but these stats dont seem worthy of 600k - 650k.

If we pay it, then he needs to provide way more consistency - i just think theres a bit more emotion in it rather then what hes actually worth.

It's a difficult one for sure, if he played his Collingwood game most weeks he'd get more than 600k but you're right as he does have some very down games. He is also the sort of bloke that will win games out of nowhere.

I don't want to screw our salary cap too much, but **** I'd hate to lose him.

Tippa (outside of maybe Stringer) could be the worst player on our list to judge by way of 'stats'. He literally makes things happen for us, he wins balls he shouldn't, he allows us to play the style we want to play.

Stringer has some of the best & most impactful 10-11 possession games you'd see. Tippa isn't far behind.

Yes no doubt....

But they both go missing far too often also.

At the end of the day, they're both forwards in an inconsistent side. Sure, both are thrown in the middle at times when we're struggling, but hard not to "go missing" at times when your primary job is playing forward and you get the delivery/lack of that our midfield is prone to from time to time.

Is he willing to walk to another club offering him 600k a year if we can only afford 525k a year without blowing our cap out?

I suppose it depends on just how important he's regarded as in system and impact. If he gets a sniff of free ball he's like a distribution surgeon or laser beam kick for goal but because we are deficient in many areas (The big elephant extraction) the bloke often gets put into out of position scenarios (wasted if you like).

Woosha has openly stated that his impact is mostly governed by the team "Learning" to create play that allows such impact to unfold.

I honestly believe we can not afford to lose him as the other pieces fall into place.

550k over 4 and Gil should just stump up and make him the Cultural Dreadlock Ambassador as he enjoys our crowd numbers and ticket pulling money so much.

This is about money though, not his role, system or impact in the side. Its been reported that he felt he was being lowballed by our original offer, offered more by other clubs (bulldogs), and wanted to put talks on hold to maximise his next payday. The question was is he willing to turn his back on us purely for the extra coin he can get elsewhere. If the answer is yes there might be nothing we can do to keep him, as matching the highest offer might be impossible due to our salary cap.

But he’s also our most important player. He’s totally worth 600K because his impact can’t be measured just on a stats sheet.

But they both go missing far too often also.

They are also forwards with a bad midfield ahead of them. Not a surprise they go missing in games like Vs West Coast when we couldn’t get the ball forward.
