bloke needs to cut out the stupid locker room dancing and stop mucking around all the time with his social media

he hasnt earned that license yet

Says the bloke who uses his Locker-room banter as his avatar - :drunk:

Am I being too cynical to worry that all this media attention is not a great thing this early on in his career?

Like I'm sure he's in a great headspace right now, but eventually it will die off, he might have some poor games, and the grind sets in, etc...

I guess that is no different to what every player will go through at some stage and I should just back the club in. Something about it though doesn't sit quite right with me. Like even the headline of that Ralph article, Stack's rise to 'afl stardom'... give me a break, he's played a handful of games, he's a mile off 'stardom' yet.

I've had the same thought, and then I remember how the club handled Higgins and the media last year.

I think they'll be on top of it.

Should have been down away from the cameras. I'm not a fan of embarrassing kids like that. Imagine the **** he will cop tonight from the bombers players not to mention public humiliation isn't great for anyone.
I'm sure Dimma knows who can and who can't handle the public sprays, SS definitely sounds like a kid who can, and will respond well.

It's the medias fault with their obsession with players getting bakes.

90+% of the time I'd agree with you...but good man management has to use the appropriate technique for the individual.

I get the impression Sydney needs immediate feedback with some emotional content (good or bad) for it to be effective. (including an old fashioned spray! )... Just don't think sitting him down later on and abstractly discussing what professionalism is would work for him.

May be on the money here...judging by the lack of reaction from SS after the Dimma spray...

Bit of an unpopular opinion but I've always been against individual player bakes being shown on TV like that regardless of who it is. Team sprays is fine and they are generally good to see, but a coach singling a player out should be kept off the tapes.

Imagine a player who has kids copping a spray.. Kids seeing their dad getting screamed at like that? Not something you want your child seeing imo

Alls well - Dimma just mentioned in his presser he apologised for going so hard - loves him and said he loves that hes reaching for the stars, just wants him to remember to keep his feet on the ground.
Lol, of course he did. Good old fashioned damage control. Dimma knows what he's doing.
