Took the Saints to turnaround and pick 34 and ask all the other teams "anyone else seeing this shit?" before bidding. Steal at 34
Can't believe that the other teams waited that long to make us pick up this kid. Maybe they all thought someone else would do it. He's a real talent. Love how clean and quick he is yet is still hand enough to fight through congestion. We did very well this draft especially considering that we are the premiers! Not fair on the other teams really

Stoked for the kid. He should have quite an easy transition given he’s been at the club for a few years and knows a lot of the boys. Needs to put on a few kegs but that won’t stop him like it didn’t stop Bolton and Rioli... glad we have some outside flair coming in to the club as we have gone predominantly inside and contested the last draft.
Not really, there is a massive trend since the points system has been introduced that academy and f/s players go later then expected. Ballenden was another who was probably that 20-30 range and went in the 40's (from memory). Clubs just don't have the resources to waste them scouting kids they know they won't get.

Absolute bargain at that pick so suprised he got that far kids all class and with another two brothers coming through they could end up even more of a bargain than patty having brothers at the club will make opposition clubs less likely to bid on them

Great game that one. Knights keeping us in it with amazing centre clearance goals, Scotty Turner smashing Gary O'Donnell on the wing, Naish and Daffy in the second half. Just awesome.
