How anyone can support this man and not be incredibly embarrassed by it will forever be beyond me.

That side of politics loves to crap on about "snowflakes" being "triggered" but JFC, is Trump the most insecure person on the planet?

“In any event, that affected him greatly”

Everything is a projection with this lump of shit.
He capitalises the word Television like it's a brand new invention. I suppose, like the Radio and Women's Suffrage, it was brand new in his lifetime.

I will be very surprised if he doesn’t win, and I think he is the better option of the two.
I'm genuinely curious why you think this.

Trump has been convicted of 34 felonies relating to falsifying business records around hush money he paid to a woman he had an affair with, he's facing further charges over attempting to overthrow the results of an election, he's been found in court on the basis of probabilities to have sexually assaulted a woman. At any other time in history, any one of these issues would have disqualified him from running. The only way to not only think he should be allowed to run but is also the better option of the two is to a) not believe them to be true, which would require a deep dive down the conspiracy rabbit hole, or b) not care.

He was responsible for one of the most shambolic COVID responses, which left one million of his own citizens dead, the economy performed well under him at first but then tanked (now obviously COVID was a factor, but Biden's economic track record is also pretty good, having come out of cost of living factors that were likewise beyond his control), evidence shows Democrats have outperformed Republicans on the economy over the last 30 years, people claim he didn't start wars but as evidenced in this thread, he dropped significantly more drone bombs than Obama and made decisions that certainly exacerbated conflicts in Ukraine and the Middle East (embassy in Jerusalum, for example).

He has described immigrants as animals, lied about them eating pets, referred to his own citizens as the enemy within, says he wants to utilise the army against people in his own country (it's interesting that Republicans clutch their pearls when they think Biden called all supporters garbage, even though he immediately clarified, while ignoring Trump's comments when he refuses to recant and often doubles down). He lies constantly, refuses to acknowledge he lost an election, has an insanely thin skin.

So again, I'm genuinely curious why you think he's the better option because from where I'm sitting, it's hard to find a reason beyond being conspiracy minded, misinformed, ideologically bound or in agreement with a lot of the shit I just posted above.

On top of all the great points you’ve mentioned and many, many more not mentioned, the dude is 78 years old for God’s sake, the oldest presidential nominee ever and is clearly on the decline.
I think the reasons people would choose him over Kamala has to be because they don’t believe a woman can do a better job than a man and/or she’s not white.
If Harris loses, it will be because of the fear, racism and misogyny that has propelled Trump’s campaign. That has to be it. It can’t be anything else.
Harris is clearly more qualified and competent than DonOld in every way. It’s really quite incredible he’s allowed to run.
The Americans really need to consult with the AEC on how to fix their electoral system.

I feel like doctors have the knowledge and courage to differentiate between abortion and miscarriage.
And yes I’ve been in a similar situation.
Doctors can differentiate but the Law can't.
The poor woman in Texas suffered a miscarriage at 17 weeks , Doctors had to wait until there wasn't a heartbeat before they performed her health care ( Texas Law). This took 40 hours and exposed her to risk of infection - she became infected and passed away 3 days later. :'(

You could add that his best mate,Elon, has come out and said that Trump’s economic policies will deliberately cause hardship, presumably to allow parasites like Musk himself to cream off an even larger share of the nation’s wealth.

And though he’s tried to walk it back, the House leader has reportedly let slip that Trump plans to abolish ObamaCare.

Not to mention “their little secret”, which sounds like a plan to have Trump inaugurated regardless of whether he wins the EC.

Oh, and continuous efforts to undermine the faith of the American people in the electoral process despite no evidence that it has ever been materially compromised.

They are taking it out of the hands of the doctors. The doctors are too afraid of being charged. That's the point of much of the state abortion laws.
And also to the bounty-hunter laws in TX.

he's already going hard on "election fraud' in PA, he knows he's cooked there already. Im in the States, have been in GA and SC this past week. I'm pretty confident Harris will win this election.
Wish I had your confidence. Betting odds are well in his favour and they have only been wrong twice in 130 years. I get that betting and polling come from different places, but it's not looking great.

Listening to JR - JD interview - he says they are going to leave it to the states making it a non issue at the federal issue. Sounds fair.

THIS is what we are all (at least most of us) arguing for and what campbell was posting about.

It is a shame that some posters don't see that health care is not just about 'abortion on call'.

Some, seem to think abortion care, is a women deciding to get rid of a fetus prior to term.
Nope

It is way more that that.

A women can be miscarrying, and cant get the d and c needed to evacuate the remnants of that fetus. Thus she becomes septic and dies.

Drs are-not allowed by law in some states to provide normal health care needed for women.

Haven't you noticed already the problems with each state doing its own thing. Women are having to travel to other states for basic care. So some states are mulling over closing the borders to anyone traveling to get health care. The case in OH with the child r*ped by a family member, remember? Women are going to die because these pricks are playing silly buggers with this issue.
That is why there has to be a federal law covering this. The states are too far apart on theirs.

Well both Joe and jd seemed sensible- agreeing with Europes consensus of safe legal early term or health concern abortion, but no optional late term abortion. Safe legal and rare like Biden said.

Pretty much was it was before. It was working before. Until the Federalists and McConnell decided it was time to catch the car on RvW. Those a-holes have blood on their hands for spiking the SCOTUS nominating process and allowing every right-wing anti-abortion zealot a free shot.

Are going to die? They already are.

Others are becoming infertile due to their inability to obtain appropriate care.

While others are being enforced to endure emotional turmoil by being forced to carry and give birth to non-viable babies, and witnessing them dying hours after birth.

I strongly dislike that type of republican too

“Here are these two guys both driven by a need to do anything they wanted with women: dominance and submission and entertainment,” Wolff says of the duo on his podcast. “And one of them ends up in the darkest prison in the country and the other in the White House.”
