Just a reminder, even if it hasn't come up for a few pages and y'all should know this stuff by now:

This thread is not about Covid, lockdowns, or vaccines. It is about Donald Trump. While Trump was in office during the pandemic and his response to Covid is relevant, there are pertinent threads for you to post your opinions on those things in.

It might also do with reminding a few that when you post on the SRP, you are responsible for backing up/verifying your claims to fact. If I recall, "they" were comparing him to Hitler mid-1920's/early-1930's.

There's nothing that's occurred since that speculation to discredit such parallels.

If he were to be on that trajectory, what would Trump need to do if now if 2025 is the equivalent of, say, 1925 (which, just for some time context, is about 4 years after the Brown Shirts were formed)?

I'm honestly not patronising you, that's not my intention. But tell me what came next in the rise of the Third Reich that is supposedly so out of the question for MAGA/Project 2025 etc?

Just so we can reflect in a couple of years to see if it's transpired.
You just mention Hitler and many people lose their minds, as they don't understand any of his rise to power and just think of Hitler as a stand in for unique evil and the worst person ever. Also he hasn't started a world war or killed 6 million jews.

Thing is with Trump his rise to power has followed a lot of the Hitler playbook, we maybe where Germany were in 1933 in that timeline, doesn't mean the rest of the future is set in stone, but at that time world war was still 6 years off, and the holocaust 8.

Now those things probably won't occur, but wannabe authoritiarians who tried to overthrow a government don't have a good record of getting into power again and just being a status quo leader.

When you support Republicans, farting in the vicinity is considered intimidation.

And if they smell it, then that is violent assault upon them.

They're a fragile bunch, they are.
They are not a fragile bunch.

They intend to impose the most brutal, counter revolutionary polices with the jackboot.

To understand the correct path forward, it is vital to assess the nature of the enemy

Correct. The reasons for how Hitler was able to assume political power have been covered up by capitalist propaganda for over 90 years.

Hitler was only able to take power because the German working class was betrayed by the counter revolutionary policies of the Stalinists who led the KPD.

The majority of the German population opposed Hitler. But the disastrous policies of the German Communist Party split the working class, and created a situation in which SPD (Social Democratic workers) were fighting Communist workers on the street

If the working class had been unified, instead of divided, Hitler would have been swept away like a speck of dust.

You are also correct that Trump is using Hitler's playbook.

But this time, there is a party (not yet with mass influence, but that will come) which will unify the working class against the enemy: capitalism.

When this is achieved, both Trump and the Democrats will be catapulted into the dustbin of history.
