The players who nominate for the draft on 18 month deals are named before the draft, and he wasn’t one.

Possibly the list you’re looking at doesn’t include rookies though?

Is he not then named in the HS article? do you know of another list of the 29?

edit: there is no conflict between the articles, he is on a 6 month contract.

It doesn’t say that. It says he was one of 11 players who did a medical with AFL clubs.

The only ones with 18 month minimum contracts are Maric, Tucker, Teal and Szybkowski.

I can’t even find a list of 29. There’s random numbers quoted here and there but really it’s pretty unusual to nominate for the 18 month minimum term. 29/330 odd nominees is less than 10%

I couldn't find it either, but The Google and I aren't always on the best of terms. I guess Jaiden is the next to inherit the clock.

The list of nominees is everywhere but the list of 18-month contracts is non-existent, whereas the year before there was a heap of stuff about Newcombe’s nomination. I found one more name in addition to the ones already mentioned above but that’s it, so 5 names.

Can not understand why the club websites can not carry the info. Not like length of contract should be secret players business .

Just chiming in to say we were having the same problem with Ethan Stanley on our board, was listed as a 6 monther and ended up being 18 months as far as we can tell, so you may have signed Hunter on longer too

Probably has a nervous wait to see if there are spots available, especially since rookie spots are reduced when you have more on the senior list. They'll deal with the senior list first (Snelling also waiting on a contract offer) and then the rookies after that.

I'd also take the unknown kpf than the known small journeyman in Snelling who struggles to kick 35m.
