His contract will run its course and they will do his rehab. No need for contract payouts if it is 6 month’s.

My immediate answer is yes, but when you look at list spots we are unfortunately going to be losing players who are good enough to get another year.

Remembering that he’d still be a rookie next year, and that Essendon hasn’t delisted any of its MSD draftees since the MSD started. I’d assume he takes the spot of Baldwin (if upgraded) or Voss (if delisted).

They could rejig the list size because there’s a little bit of overlap between the main and rookie lists, but it might depend on the CBA going through and hopefully list sizes increasing back to what they were.
