No I would want to watch the Saints win a flag by playing football, not by default due to bad weather.

Winning isn't everything, I watch football and cricket because I like watching those sports, I would rather have to see my team lose than not watch them at all because they are sh!t.

The suggestion that it's just part of a game and we should never even consider looking at reasonable ways in which we can change the game to maximum play is ridiculous.
I have no problems with that at all.

However, doing it immediately after rain has disadvantaged you in a Test match isn't the right time.

In the immortal words of Sir Humphrey Appleby (Yes Prime Minister), "Since when did you acquire this taste for luxuries?"

For someone who's baffled by the pop culture phenomena that is Taylor Swift, what album would you recommend for me to listen to get an understanding of her popularity?
Watch her Reputation tour on Netflix.
Not the Miss Americana doco.

She's pretty amazing and it's so professional in Dallas !!

I turned into a Swiftie half way through it. Lol

Yet you were more than okay with Sydney last ashes series right…only reason you weren’t flogged 5-0. So far we’ve heard Vaughan wanting to change to a pink ball mid test, Root wanting to play till 11pm and you know it will swing more at night.

How about you look internally- your stupid declaration in the first yes cost yourself a test. Then this test wasting 2 hours for Bairstow to get runs rather than declaring when you knew the last two days were rain

Folklore, its the deep album cuts and story telling that sucks you in. Her hooks get stuck in your head and her bridges are always a highlight

Our team has won. Twice. They also did what they needed to do this Test with the tactical awareness of the conditions ahead. Something Stokes and Baz failed to do.

How many sessions of cricket have we had so far? 50 odd? Getting in a winning position over the first 40 seems like a pretty sound approach so that two washed out days don't spell disaster. Remember, England still had 70 overs to bowl Australia out and earn a win.

Go back further and Australia won their previous two home series whole retaining in England in between. The advantage was earned on merit, over a bloody large amount of cricket. England had to do better. They've failed.

It's the perfect time to be doing it, when the issue and the impact of it as the forefront of peoples minds.

Australia doesn't rain except Sydney, so we can make those calls, because 20 minutes here or there is "just part of the game" try it out sometime, it's a nice place, it's the home of the ashes.

No, it reeks of subjectivity and insincerity.

As has been pointed out, where has this cry for change been in the past when England have been advantaged by weather in Test matches?

How important was that innings by Marnus yesterday?

Top shelf stuff, and an important contribution by Marsh at the other end.

Retaining the Ashes in four tests is a fitting reward for this team being so good over the last few years.
