His finger, his finger, his finger, like Kelly, like Kelly, like Kelly, yes, yes, yes...BUT ALL I WANT TO KNOW IS HOW BLOODY TALL IS HE???

Shot up to 195 over the pre season

I can't believe AFL clubs can get away with paying kids only $50k lol That doesn't get you very far these days....let alone having to relocate to another state! You've been practicing your profession for 20 years, get a job at 27yo and you get paid that. Ouuffff
Not bad for 3 months of playing footy

I am sure the club will cover his expenses involved with moving etc. The club seems so well organised now you would think they will figure it out to his advantage should he make the grade. Looking at Picket's highlights he looks a huge chance to play 50+ matches if he stays fit. In a couple of the highlights he seemed to possess that rare and valuable commodity in footy....afterburners. Whatever afterburners are, he has them. :)

Yeah Lids had them and so did Juddy...

Great pickup

Didnt think he would be available to us and would have gone earlier to the sun's then the injury i thought ohh well he might slip but doubt we would take the chance on him and with word that we had interviewed anderson i was certain we would be taking him. But the upside of this selection is huge with the indigenous boys we have at the club. Pickett will make sure that kids like Bolton,Stack,Egg-Smith,Rioli x 2 Know how precious their time in the AFL is and not to take it for granted.

Will be 28 in january and is 184cm 85kgs but can play inside/outside / fwd/hb and has a good tank with good pace, thats a good repertoire of position's
Would be ecstatic if he is ready to play finals this year and adds just another option to our list.

Well Done Tigers

Personally i dont see Richmond taking a Ruckman

Nankervis will be back in 7/8 weeks max and well before the finals and Soldo does not have a history of getting suspended as well as being durable
CCJ is young but Richmond certainly see him as a Ruck first then Foward but he is just too young and still 2/3 years away from being able to compete

Emergency break glass option. M Choll

Inside mid / M. Pickett would be my guess

This was my post on the drafts/Trades board last Tuesday :p

Glad the recruiters listened to me take the best talent Pickett or Bolton

But seriously we back our leadership and group in to get the best out of players who ppl see as risks

Pickett joins great indigenous leaders in sheds and Daniel as well as Bolton/egg/stack

Not a bad idea to keep stacky on the straight an narrow Pickett has done it tough went to jail and now gets his chance

Clarkey says he hasnt been banged up in the afl system so thinks he has a fair amount of footy left in him , would be happy with 3-4 good years

Hawks sought Shaun Burgoyne in the belief that after knee surgery they could get 3 and perhaps four years from him too, back in 2010. Every player is different, but wouldn't it be nice...................
