That's touch and go, and we would be spitting venom if that had gone against an Australian fielder.
He did control the ball and arguably himself, but not the release (which is not the Law). Its quite different to the Starc one, where it was grassed while trying to regain control of his own motion.

I guess smacking yourself in the knee when attempting to throw the ball in celebration is not full control of your own movement, so "not out" is probably correct. Either way one set of fans would be fuming at a grey area interpretation of the Laws.

Nothing grey about that. If anything more clear than the Gibbs 99 World Cup one.

The review was just about the funniest thing I've ever seen, but pretty disgusting scenes from England after that.

When was the last time you saw Australian players, or any for that matter, get in the face of the umpires like that?

That's just so not on, and not to mention, the umpires have done absolutely nothing wrong.

Our media would bash the side for months as ugly Australians

Well duck me if Mark Taylor doesn't sound like Kenny Callander all of a sudden. Is he planning a pass on Louise in the wrap party and getting a bit lispy with excitement?
Rathe Thix: Thparkling Thunthine.

Did they clarify if the review was lost? It 100% should be.
Own goal by Stokes... wasting a review when he personally dropped the catch... then pleads to get it back. Lol just beyond stupid.

Nope clearly not a catch. Have a look at Stokes real time reaction on the replay.

IMO, two incorrect ones.
This one is slightly less clear because Starc had two hands to it and went to ground in a second motion whereas this one is kind of outstretched and a bit in one motion, but i lend towards both being catches under my interpretation, but under the Starc interpretation both are clearly not catches. There's a very narrow point where you could think Starcs is a catch but this isn't (due to the one v two motions) but I don't need to stray there.
