Was that before or after all the goals kicked on him

During. A typical Port beat up on a side lower than them on the ladder - before inevitably shitting the bed in September again effort.

Hey, remember that game in 2018 (or 19) I think it was, last game of the year, you needed to win to play finals, and we flogged you.

At Marvel.

Ben Brown kicked 10.

We've nearly finished a full burn it down rebuild since then - our young mids broke even with your far more experienced set up on Saturday - and we'll be up and playing finals again very soon.

And you'll still have Ken.

Or maybe Josh Carr, but he's just a Ken clone dud.

Your whole club has been Ken'd.

And when we are playing and winning finals and flags soon, you'll lie awake on bed and because you're South Australian you'll at first be haunted by the memories of your dog's hideous howls as your Dad rooted it in the backyard every night - often twice - but then once you've moved past that, you'll be fyrther haunted by the knowledge that your club will never ever recover from what Ken Hinkley has done to it.

Glad you can take satisfaction from being flat-track bullies. It's held you in such good stead in finals the past couple of decades.

At least with Essendon you know they'll come good one day and win finals and a flag.

Not with Port, ultimate make up the numbers club.

Remember it well. 2019. Another one of those famous "spuds that tear us apart" games. Should've been the end of Ken (third time lol)

When we are free of the cancer that is Ken, you guys will still be salty over young Jason tearing through the competition

I dunno man. This guy was supposed to be a prodigy. 3rd year in the system and supposedly playing for a better club.

He’s played some good games and is a good player, don’t get me wrong.

Is he all Australian? No. Errol Gulden was. Nick Daicos was. Hell Jai Newcombe got up and he was pick 2 in the mid season draft.

Brownlow? Beaten by all 3 again, by close to a dozen points.

You pander to the kid, he cracks the sads and goes home to mum. You “fix” his supposed injury. You surround him in the midfield with two all Australian players to feed off and learn from. And what do you get? A mid placed talent ? A midfield that got obliterated in clearance by a team who actually has a chance of success this year.

Is this the player that was supposed to change our fortunes? Is this the “one that got away”

Or do we actually have that bloke on our list contracted up for 7 years?
