personally I would lije to bring in Garth, Stengle, Vlastuin, Markov and maybe Lennon...

but it's too many changes and can't find enough
outs...... Menadue, Lloyd, Edwards maybe but need to persist with Butler, Costanza and Rioli

tough choice for selectors
We could cut six and it would be justified.

BEllis, Castagna, Lloyd, Rioli, Butler, Edwards Menadue. who would bat an eye if anyone of them got the flick.

They have named Maric Lennon and Markov on an extended bench. Play the three of them and cut Rioli, Edwards and Lloyd.Still scratching my head on how Miles didnt even get named on the extended bench.

Call me cynical, but here's how it will go.
Lennon will rack up half a dozen possessions.
He'll lay a tackle, which a dozen or so posters will post as undeniable proof he works hard and applies maximum pressure.
One kick will hit a target - yet again more proof he's justr a good man out of luck.
He might even top eight possessions, at which point one poster will deem him an immediate A-grader, because hes better thna bloke at Gold Coast or St Kilda.
Either way the debate will rage for 100 more pages.
He's earned a crack, I hope he makes a spot his own .... that said, I have not much confidence.
Good luck Ben.

Dude, I'm 45 and been going to the footy since I was about five, when i went with my mum in a Tigers jumper and footy boots.
I had decades of optimism ... and decades of Jon Hummel, Phillip Bottams, Wayne Shand, Tom Crebbin, Tim Livingstone, Mark McLeod, Paul Morrish, ty Esler, Jamie Elliott, Brad Gwilliam, Ben Moore, Matthew Manfield, Ben Hollands, John Rombotis, Steve McKee, Craid Ednie, Andrew Mills, Bill Nicholls, Luke Weller, Jarad Oakley0-Nicholls, Jeremy Humm, Brent Hartigan, Cleve Hughes, Jayden Post, Jarrod Silvester, Tom Hislop, Jamie O'Reilly, Deam McDonald, Matt Arnott, Taylor Hunt ......
We're out of optimism at this here residence.
I did say I was cynical.

My mate is good friends with with Jeremy humm, they both live in the states. If it's any consolation, he tears up the footy field for the Boston demons.

He'd be devo. Not sure he'd recover

I'd hope if Lennon plays a good game that everyone would be happy for him.
He might need to kick 10 for people to actually admit it though lol.
They'd probably still say he cheated out the back for eight of them :p

Don't mind a legit debate on this guy but I've switched off now and put em on ignore. It works

Realistically if he had 12-15 possessions and takes 4 marks and kicks a goal or 2 I'll be pleased

Two goals would be a win because we haven't got multiple goals from a second tall option or a half forward in a solitary game yet. I feel like Lennon may break that trend.

I'd be the first to congratulate him - as I would any Tigers player.
But I think your post points to a greater concern.
As I maintain - and Sir_Loin says he is happy t debate - there hasn't been much debate re this bloke despite more pages than War and Peace.
There are those who feel he is not up to it and treading water - like me - on the other side is a bunch of guys who continually use the word 'hope'.
"I'd hope if Lennon plays a good game", " I hope he gets a game", "I hope he does this or that". Sums it up really. Or a hunch here.
And honestly, congratulating him on a good game achieve nothing he if he doesn't go on with it, which is the whole point.
I won't use those immortal words that get bandied about on here that start with "acceptance .........." but I will never be the type of BF poster who goes giddy over one great or even good game here or there as many on here do.
