Interesting. I just pulled Carlton out because SOS has previously been interested. Wasn't aware of those clubs interested too.

The main interest 2 years ago was from GWS and last year it was the magpies

Move on Ben, Dimma and the match committee have done him dirty virtually from the moment he walked through the door. Move on to another club and prosper you're too much of a talent to be getting wasted like this.

Love the kid but I'll be shocked if he is here next season. Just can't believe how often he is overlooked.

What you must accept that is that he has major flaws in both his game and his attitude as well as not having much athletism or speed

We have a completely new set of coaches this year at the club and yet the same assessment of lennon by the new coaches

you must think that all these coaches cant be all wrong - Even though you believe i am

It's just the way he plays.
Nobody denies he has talent and good attributes but they aren't the attributes we require, nor do many teams.
He's a lovely kick at goal and has a few other good attributes but it's just not enough today. He absolutely had to change how he played and I watched him in those early senior games this year and he really tried. He really did try his guts out to give us what we needed with defensive pressure and repeat efforts, but he would blow up and then start to tail off and in the end it not only offset his good qualities but also denied them because he was buggered from trying to do what is foreign to him.
I always consider Ben to be unfortunate to be playing in the wrong era for him. 15 years ago he would have thrived.
I watch him in the twos and his football skills and nous allow him to not have to do all the other stuff too often.

Just for a bit of perspective....these are Lennons stats over his 4 years at the tigers....hardly earth shattering
21 AFL games = 10 goals
Has had 4 years to prove himself...doubt he'll be picked up by another club...

That's what happens when you don't get an extended run in the ones.

Yep, he's that 'almost, but not quite' type..

A couple of inches taller and he'd be a really good KPF, an extra yard of pace/ bigger tank and he'd be an awesome 3rd tall....but he doesn't have those.

At vfl level, being 'almost' is good enough, because that's the level of the opposition most of the time too, but when they go up a level, it stands out and is just not good enough.

If another club wants him, then by all means, trade him for whatever we can get, otherwise...well, maybe 1 more year if we're delisting so many it'd be pick 90ish we were replacing him with, but even then, only maybe.

Time For Ben to move on as much for him as for us.

Staying another year will just be more of the same.

An extra yard of pace and he'd be a pretty decent player.
Both he and Lloyd don't have a role anymore in our current game style because they can't apply the defensive pressure required

And it's not like he hasn't had a mentor coach backing him in like Leppa. Four seasons averaging 1 Tackle a game is nowhere near the mark. Perhaps that part of his game has improved this year a tad, don't know, but with an absence of genuine size and talent in the forward line and he still can't get a senior gig - it's over red rover!
