It's been like 2 hours since the Collingwood game.
It's been over a day since our game ended.

The fact there are more articles about the Merrett charge than the Adams tackle is entirely logical.
If by this time tomorrow the Adams tackle hasn't been charged, we can start putting the tin foil hats on

Oh, I don’t think it’s a tin foil hats situation. More media click bait for Essendon related items.

Yes, the game was recent. But Ralph, and Mark Steven’s have already tweeted regarding Carminiti.

Fox Footy literally tweeted three times in a row.

Triple M a few times, similar with Jay Clark. Would me saying half a dozen make you feel better?

Not exactly sure what your issue is.

Happy to move on.
My issue is there wasn't even half a dozen articles.

Couple of sound bites and 1 article the day after the game = media has it in for us because 2 hours after another game they haven't mentioned one incident.

You had an issue even before that. Rather than discuss the actual footage, you were cracking in at people “melting in the comments”

Anyway, back to the original point, it’s likely that Adams will cop a suspension.

Yes. I was laughing at people who were pre-emptively complaining about media and MRO bias.

I wouldn't go that far. He has been erring on the side of heavier penalties all year.

I suspect that will be the precedent we bring in.
His rate of suspension for when the player in question is playing Collingwood that week suggests otherwise

why do you want to laugh at them rather than address the point being made - bias/no bias in MRO
Me laughing is addressing the point. Let's wait for the MRO to actually assess the game before melting over it.

Is this an empirical analysis?
Unless Geelong had someone suspended before the round 1 clash, as far as I can tell only Nathan Broad has missed the Pies via suspension in the previous game?

And that was clearly weeks.

The Herald Sun and FoxFooty went with it early, not sure which was first. Then The Age later in the day and progressively more as radio stations picked it up etc. I saw an article on the SEN website as well (refused to click on any of them so I've only seen tweets and headlines).

The AFL and club websites, write ups and press conference didn't seem to think it was worth mentioning or asking the coach about, didn't upload as a video clip or anything as they usually would have done for something as cut and dried obvious as the headlines and tweets made it out to be.

re bolded, yeah, nah. "Melting" or even just talking about bias/perceived bias about MRO (part of the game) is different to belittling posters by laughing about whether there was half a dozen/dozen tweets by the media.

not going to die in a ditch about this, just think it's more interesting to talk about the game than how posters express their views. Laugh away..

Irrefutable!

High - subbed out
Medium - came off
Low - took his kick

Should be that east shouldn't it?
The intent and the action should be the only things considered.

We’re all made physiologically differently to each other and will respond in unique ways to impact trauma.

Eg: McCartin kissed some grass and it knocked him for six.

The outcome should never be a factor - even though in the eyes of the AFL it is……and they are wrong.

They have to takecthis all the way

May aswell goto touch footy rules where you just havefewtag belt that people pull out instead of tackling.
agreed - it’s bullshit you have to havefewtag belt people now, you never saw Hird and Wanganeen having to havefewtag belt people to win brownlows

While climbing on your high horse maybe you could've read my posts.

But thanks, I'm glad you took the time to explain I can't criticise what people on twitter are saying.

Can everyone who has twitter tag Jay Clark in the Taylor Adams sling which was worse than Merrett. Let’s see if he mentions that.

The media/commentary are either ex AFL boys club or average journos with bias from certain clubs who feed them info. Will talk bad against teams who they don’t have connections with.

I don’t understand how the MRP became the MRO. AFL let one bloke who is a flog decide players bans solely himself with no other people giving their opinion on incidents. Laughable really

Just on the whole media reporting thing,

Before we jump to conclusions etc can we realise that the captain of the essendon football club doing a reportable action before Anzac day (biggest home and away game of the year) is going to be a torch for reporters to make comment early.
It's not a conspiracy it's media doing their jobs and putting their name up as first reported by.

Good old essendon fans, go on and on about being a big club, but when it comes with media scrutiny that being a big fish leads to it's all conspiracies and hard done by comments.
