Deserved better that what his mates dished up last night.

Watching your skipper get manhandled and not firing a shot to stop it is peak Essington. We have by and large been better at stuff like this in 2023….last night was a regression. Hopefully just a temporary one.

For something that doesn’t really matter, that’s an astonishingly bad decision.

For all the staging that actually happens, Merrett literally got pushed haha.

I get if people dive without being touched but he literally gets pushed. If that’s a fine then there will be 100 fines a week if they’re consistent.

Seems Merrett is hated by some as he always seems to be the one who gets suspended first for jumper punch, tackle on silvagni, dangerous tackle this year and now diving apparently.

AFL will be getting rich if they apply that ruling with consistency.

We should appeal it just to piss off the AFL. Should be easy defence "he was pushed", then leave Michael Christian looking like a tool when overturned after 3 seconds deliberation. Not like he flew face first into the dirt.

Michael Christian doing his usual thing.

And bring vids of every other incident ignored all season and ask for an explanation.
He really doesn't like Zach.

I felt it was appropriate that Zerrett played league game No. 200 vs Geelong given his relationship with the Lord twins.

Don't talk about the Lord twins to me, the bastards had my dog shot for munching on a couple of their sheep:mad::mad:

Apart from all being Cobden boys, what is the relationship?

This is about Jackson, but same same re the relationship

Merrett's football bloodlines are strong.

His great uncle was Collingwood champion Thorold Merrett, who played in two premierships for the Magpies in the 1950s and was named on the wing in the club's team of the century.

Jackson's grandmother is cousins with twins Alastair and Stewart Lord, who played for Geelong in the 1960s, and his father Greg is a second cousin of Essendon dual premiership player Roger Merrett.
