Bomber Thompson did as much on 360, saying in round 3 north could be really up and intent where the cats probably weren't and had a huge disadvantage with a harder game and less rest! Robbo and Gerard are pumping us up though

Did I hear right - he said they only had a 4 day break compared to us? I know last night I heard someone reference a 5 day break for the Cats. When I went to school, Monday to Sunday is not 4 or 5 days. By the time Grant Thomas gets to air tonight, the Geelong vs North game will have taken place concurrently with the Geelong Hawthorn game.


Edit: Checked the replay, apologies to Bomber, in fact he said "more" days not 4 days.


Nevertheless, while Geelong had a day less recovery, I can tell you our boys were forced by an airline reschedule to rush to Hobart airport with a police escort after the game last week with I imagine no chance to indulge in the usual ice bath recovery. Geelong on the other hand, did not have to fly less than an hour after the siren of their game, had full opportunity to go through their recovery and be ready to go.
