Him ignoring some half leads and just ripping that kick from 65 was the most enjoyable event of the day. He'll be one of our best, and sometimes your best just have to get shit done and he has that attitude and ability in him, clearly.
Too late, I blew my lid during the game.
Just waiting for Dermie to label him selfish. I'm sure it will come.
Jacky Boy might just prove the very rare exception that shows me up as incorrect.
I don't know who that bloke was a month ago that continually chose to go to ground at the contest, but the one I have watched over the last fortnight manages to keep his feet most of the time. Maybe he will still outgrow a midfield spot, but he is a sensational impact player, no doubt about it.
Having his mate Levi back in the trenches is probably doing Jack a world of good as he can now stand off the contest and impact the contested situation much better.
That 65 metre goal took me back in time to the Jack Ziebell that dominated junior football. He will literally destroy opposition players in 5-6 years time. I genuinely fear for some 19 or 20 year old kid that ventures too close to him when he has got a head of steam up.
He is the raging bull.
He was continually going to ground because he was knackered!
Now he's getting a bit more of a tank he's starting to deliver...Still think he'd make a great forward though, think we'll see him be both.
BTW, that backpedalling pic was bloody funny
Didn't see that....5 years a long time in footyI don't buy that.
Furry muff.....that's how it seems to me. Now it looks like he knows he can outsmart/outbody whoever and get away from them with the footy.
Core strength is the key for me, and when you are shagged it's the first thing to go, not your speed but your ability to hold ya ground.
All good though, happy to disagree.
My same and very original sentiments exactly. IMO, He'll play more forward than middle, the older he gets.
kudos
Yeah, I had a chuckle to myself when I posted something similiar 5 or 6 years ago.
roast? wait what?
Okay thread back on track. Yes, I do recall a couple of examples of Jack spotting up targets inside 50 off one step. Freakish.
