Pete Lalor has backed away from this claim, after Fox Sports and Melbourne Stars both said it was incorrect.
Meanwhile, this content shows how Nine was basically phoning it in for the last five years.

I was wactching Wolves vs Liverpool in the EPL and co commentator Jim Beglin said ''corridor of uncetainty'' and I immediately thought of Damien Fleming.
It's so difficult trying to watch the Aus Open and putting up with the ads and cross promotion. Those ubereats spots in particular make me want to puke in second-hand embarrassment. Foxtel for the cricket and AFL is money well spent.

Have they gone down the "add new commentary" route yet?
I thought they had bought the rights to the archive as part of the deal, but maybe I was imagining that.

A shame they don't have the rights to last years Ashes. Would be a good way to kill 3 weeks of lockdown
Both could be factors.
I just think that Fox have been covering cricket for a very long time, especially overseas tours, and they have also covered many great international series, tournaments, etc.
Some of the documentaries and highlights packages, etc they've shown lately have been good (e.g. 1992-93 Adelaide Test), but unfortunately I haven't got a lot of interest in watching hours of women's cricket and BBL replays.

They burnt through the entire archive of every Australian match on domestic soil, and any ones they had the rights to internationally, plus the ICC's archive that they opened up?

I guess the other factor is that it's hard to condence the stuff that is actually interesting (Tests/ODI's) into helpful 2-3 hour packages.
