I may be an outlier here but I thought Alyssa Healy was really good on Fox this test, she stayed away from talking about Starc for obvious reasons but she speaks well, bit of cheek and tactically seemed switched on.
Absolute delight not having to listen to Warner butcher every word he says as well.

And the lunch segment yesterday Skull was absolutely loose as and it was tremendous stuff

I can handle Vaughan in small doses but he’s got a Pietersen like talent for dropping a real turd-in-punch bowl comment every now and then.

His latest being to have a go at South Africa for, effectively, having the indecency to simply win most of the games the current calendar has presented them in the WTC.

So in addition to 4 day tests which would rob us of the drama of this match just completed, a two tier system which would mean one of the world test championship finalists wouldn’t even be there and another of the two teams still capable of making it (SL) would also be in tier two (assuming Australia, England, NZ and India made up tier one which would have been the case when he said it based on rankings) he wants teams who simply don’t play as much test cricket to not have a chance to play in the final because they…. Don’t play as much test cricket.

I like Vaughan but he goes down the path of being provocative for the hell of it. He doesn’t need to but I think he’s just attention seeking, if you can ignore the bs he’s pretty good imo.

Off to FOX and away from this annoying punch drunk sounding little man.

Fox calling offtube from a studio because they didn’t show case they being at the ground like they do when they are actually calling from the ground.

It’s the big NYE clash and they can’t be bothered to send commentary to the ground. At least 7 send Langer & Blewett from the test match in Melb yesterday to AO, Fox sent Isa & KoK from Melb to Sydney.

I feel like if Fox isn’t at the ground for matches, they should just take the world feed from 7 (like they did during the early days of the first contract or during covid)
