7Cricket Vs Fox Cricket

If the game is on Fox and 7, I will watch 7 solely because it is only 7 seconds behind and Fox is 30 seconds behind.
Can't stand Howard who just screams. Absolute plonker of a commentator.

I originally voted for Fox in the above poll but now I've changed to Seven. I feel like Fox is heading towards a Channel Nein style inside jokes/talk crap/try and be funny type broadcast, while Seven are more focused on the cricket.
Fox's BBL coverage has also been a tough watch this season. I genuinely had to switch to Seven for a match a couple of weeks ago when Howie and Chris Lynn were commentating because they were talking so much crap. It was the match where Howie rang up Mark Waugh for some reason. Then on other nights you have Brendan Julian saying "OHHHH IT'S UP IN THE AIRRRR" 50 times a game when it's about 30 ****ing rows back because he can't judge a high ball, no matter whether he's commenting from a screen or even at the ground. I even prefer Jason Richardson on Seven now! At least they are usually on the ground.

Because Brad McNamara is the producer and he just hires all his mates.
He was at 9 towards the end when their commentary started going down the gurgler.

Another example where Fox calling from the studio doesn’t recognise there is a runout chance until it’s shown on the screen. From watching on 7, they said runout chance as the ball was thrown.
It’s the Women’s Ashes, if you are already using 7’s graphics and are calling from a studio you might as well take the 7 commentary from the ground.

I still prefer Fox's test coverage, but there is literally no benefit to Fox's coverage of the BBL when all they do is scream, and they aren't even at the ground.
I don't think the Saturday games mean that much to me... Jan-Feb is starting to open up as a 2 month period where I can save 70 bucks on Kayo.
For me, the play-by-play guys are the most important part of the cricket coverage, and I don’t think 7 has any bad ones that they frequently use (Brayshaw, Mitchell, Lane, Nicholson). In contrast, I despise both Julian, and Howard (though I don’t mind him for the footy)
7 do have more comments guys that are annoying (Langer/Hayden/Copeland), but Ponting mitigates that for me

I agree. It used to be Fox>7 with cricket too but 7 has overtaken Fox overall with their cricket broadcast.
Fox test coverage is only slightly better than 7 (55-45%) and 7’s W/BBL & Women’s Internationals generally better than Fox so 7 is overall better. So I stick with 7 for the cricket. And cancel Kayo during that time.
2025 Fox is the place for AFL, especially Friday nights with Hudson & Wheatley calling while 7 will still probably have BT
& Brayshaw (who is only slightly better than BT).With AFL, not being at the ground doesn’t really affect the commentary like it does with cricket. So Fox commentary is not that horrible.
