Well I'm proud to say I made it to 1.21am. Wide awake too. First time in years.

Wtf were they thinking with Bette Midler and "Wind Beneath My Wings". Am i wrong in thinking it was an inappropriate song to sing? "It must have been cold there in my shadow". What shadow... they are actors... they are in the spotlight last time I checked...

Also I think Leonardo Di Caprio hates Catherine Martin- didnt crack one smile when she won her oscars.

Looking forward to seeing Dallas and 12 Years. Just hope they dont exit the cinemas before I can get to them..

McConaughey & Leto most deserving.

People actually like Blanchett? I'm not disputing her winning, but as a person she's revolting. One of the most pretentious things I've ever seen in my life. Does it have something to do with patriotism or something?

I hear about her every year but do not think i have ever watched a movie she has been in

Happy for McConaughey but seriously Leo should have won an Oscar by now

Exactly. Does anyone think any less of Peter O'Toole because he went 0 from 8 at the Oscars? If anything it enhances his reputation, allowing us to say shit like "how did he not win an Oscar?!".

For what it's worth, The Aviator is probably the only one I thought he deserved the win. In my eyes, only Don Cheadle challenged him on quality of performance of that batch of nominees. The un-nominated Bruno Ganz and Jim Carrey would be the only two I had above Leo that year. What's Eating Gilbert Grape is an excellent performance, but it Tommy Lee Jones didn't snatch that Oscar, Ralph Fiennes would've.

I read that Leo has only be NOMINATED THREE TIMES in his entire career- BSA for "What's Eating Gilbert Grape?", BA for "Blood Diamond" and for "Wolf Of Wall Street".

He has failed to be nominated for the following films (which all got nominations in other catergories)- The Man In The Iron Mask, Titanic, Catch Me If You Can, The Aviator, The Departed, and Django Unchained.

Maybe Leo pissed off some Academy members, or something.

Leo was nominated for The Aviator.

WOWS was his 4th, The Aviator his 3rd. The Departed is the big snub I think. Blood Diamond is a good performance, but his Departed work blows it away.

I was going to ask, do John Ridley and Steve McQueen not get along? Ridley didn't acknowledge him on his way up to get his Oscar nor did he thank him in his speech and when they cut to McQueen he was sort touching hands together more so than clapping. But I Googled it and it seems I am not alone with that thought.

The only thing I liked about the Oscars is how uncomfortable Christian Bale looked.

Screenplay credit. Ridley has a history of it. Also this.

That was good.

Pizza dude they called in had absolutely no idea "who" he was delivering to either, he was on Ellen today. Said one minute he was out the back, the next minute he is on the stage at the Oscars, then handing out pizza to Brad Pitt and Julia Roberts. Awesome. :D:thumbsu:

Also anyone notice that pregnant chick's hand shoot up when Ellen asked if anyone wanted pizza. PMSL at that.
