Going through security at Tullamarine today on my way back to Perf. Had my DF 350 game Fletcher cap on and after the guy asks me if I've got any bombs in my bag he says..." You'd be glad gettin Goddard wouldn't ya? "...lol

I reply.." Yeah mate, couldn't be happier "

They are all just so spewin we pick him up instead of their team....love it.

Another note, I've always thought of him as a hard nut but I suspected he was a little simple in the mind (from a few brain fades in footy), but going on the interview where he spoke very clearly, pronounced and obviously knew exactly what he needed to say indicated that he is in fact a very intelligent bloke.
Not that ENTERS are indicative of intelligence, but didn't he get something in the 90's?

Brain fades in footy are even less indicative of intelligence.

Steve Johnson is a football genius, but he still comes across as dumb as dogshit.

For what it's worth, I think he left because he wants to be a midfielder more than the dollars, and Hird appears to have promised him that.

I think playing on direct opponents in the midfield later in the season returned him to some good form, only thing I personally believe preventing him from being good in there for you is if his hip injury is worse than realised.

However if you've offered him the $$ as reported, he must have been cleared by your medical team?

Just another subplot to next year, should be interesting.

For someone who doesn't care, Scotty Watters sure does talk a lot.

Scott Watters and Chris Pelchen are arrogant tossbags and I can't think of two better people in footy to captain this sinking ship. Enjoy your 4 year career Scotty.

More like.. Scott Bitters

He comes across as incredibly arrogant. He's willing to pot Lyon and Goddard for not showing loyalty (let's be honest, the administration did a pretty bloody good job pushing both of those guys out. Freo and Essendon capitalised on their poor dealings) yet there's absolutely no loyalty shown from the club to the players. The Mitch Brown thing was handled terribly, expecting West Coast to bend over once they'd found a replacement who both clubs considered inferior (West Coast's response to being told by St Kilda that Hooker was potentially available was all class: "looks like you've found your backman then") and Gram's legal issues were an excuse not a reason for his departure.

BTG is a good HATER.

BtG is the primary reason that the Essendon board has a real community, with sponsorships, beers and people getting to know each other.

I am saying that tongue-in-cheek;).

Think you need to re-read BTG's posts and the particular post that I qouted from Whomb - Goddard is BTG's current love-child, and anyone who criticizes Goddard is in the firing line.

Definitely agree, I don't think Milne and Goddard were exactly good mates?

Not really sure, I was just more imagining Watters making a few snide remarks in the lead up to the game, and then the media doing their thing and beating it up into a huge story.

Glad to hear it.

BtG's opinions, who he has in the firing line and why are completely his own choice.

Probably an interesting point that I defended him so quickly for a perceived slight though - says something about the bloke and his efforts; wouldn't you think?
