Just love listening to BJ in the media - what a great career he will have when his footy is over! Congratulations on 250 games - have loved having you at the Dons!!

It was a one man leadership show with Jobe, then came along Goddard. Im pretty confident in saying that both StKilda and Essendon supporters admire, respect and are very thankful he played for both these great clubs. Congratulations on 250!

Great effort to reach the 250 mark.

Very glad we traded him to the club, he has shown excellent leadership and been an important member of the group to get us through the the 2 years.

We didn't trade for him. He was a free agent and chose us.

Even better

Great pick up. Has been exactly what we needed. Having him probably helped us get Chappy and Coon too.

Who did St Kilda get as compo?

Seems a win/win I suppose, although I still think Saints were mad to let him go. If Riewoldt leaves at the end of the year, what better leader to take over for a couple of years until someone else is ready.

I love how he has embraced Essendon as much as Essendon has embraced him.

Have we got any vice-captains this year? If we do, it should be Goddard and Heppell.

Good Luck to Brendon Goddard this weekend & hopefully he can win a flag with you guys. A true champion of the game, never gives up trying. Anyways, good luck for the rest of the season guys, pretty confident that you'll be there abouts late in September. :thumbsu:

They were given pick 13 which was used in a trade with the Suns.

- Saints recieved: Hickey + picks 25 & 46
- Suns received: Picks 13, 36 & 55

The Suns used pick 13 to grab Jesse Lonergan.

I really want him to at least reach the 100-game milestone for this club and get his name on a locker (as well as a premiership or three!). For a guy to walk into a club that was almost immediately put under a huge cloud, to then go on and win a B&F, as well as carry himself in the manner he has, says a lot about the man.

Plus, F/S rule?

Wonder who his mum is going for this week?

If it hapens it happens but to lose this week is unthinkable. The club owes Brendon a bit of thankyou for embracing us under unforseen circumstances.

From memory BJ supported Carlton as a kid and would have gone there as no1 pick had they not copped the salary cap cheating penalties.

From memory they traded the compo pick for Tom Hickey.
