There are just so so many chances to do it though, isn't there?

Whose fault is that? mine or Dimma's.

You just need to accept the real reality of what happened, maybe then i wont need to continually point out the obvious despite how much some of you choose to completely ignore it
I really do not see the point of narrowing down the RFC's past failures onto one sole individual...ie the Coach as in Dimma...
Making Dimma the sole target and reasoning for the RFC's slow demise...
The RFC won those three GF's together...the coaches, players, admin, C.E.O...Mrs Hardwick...physio...soft cap...etc...and our Club's slow decline since then can be laid at their contributing feet as well!
I refuse to engage in the pointless constant exercise of nit picking and apportioning blame...

I’m well aware of what happened thanks very much, but I don’t need you to remind me or drag it all up again whenever his name is mentioned.

That’s why I don’t really believe you are a true Richmond supporter because you seem to take great glee in pointing out all our faults and hanging shit on us whenever you can.

Call Cotchin up and abuse him then. He wrote the book. Not me. I just quoted it.

Trent Cotchin isn’t the one who continually comes onto this forum in multiple threads and hangs shit on the club and throws daggers at Hardwick every chance he gets. That’s you.

I get you didn’t like his apparent infidelity but it is not your or my place to judge his morals. Let he who is without sin cast the first stone.

the old toy spuds vs dummas shiny new toys round 1
THE KING HAS RETURNED!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Season 9 Nbc GIF by The Office

King Yes GIF

Dimma obviously coming to end of his tether by losing to the spud Essendon team.

Exhausting 2020 with over 100 days in the hub
Marriage breakup
AFL rules changes
The Arc
A series of close losses and inconsistent form

Don't begrudge him wanting to quit. Hopefully will be a win/win for both Richmond and Dimma.

Where were you when we were successful? That’s right you joined after it all. The problem with you is you only focus on the negative. Let it go. Dimma is gone and moved on, time we all did too. I’ll always remember Dimma for assisting the club out of the wilderness and back to being successful, not for the other stuff.

And don’t you just love any opportunity to stick the boots in? Nobody wants to hear your ‘I told you so’s’
I have no hate for any one at the club.we lose to essadon. Our football was crappy. A bit of poor selection. A lot of piss poor performance from the players.

I've said things I've regretted.
This was the end of dimmas coaching career at Richmond.
Ended a bit untidy? Whatever.
I have spent Zero minutes in any high performance environment so I guess at what it'd be like.

Dimma and Cotch are on good terms.
Good luck. There's plenty who didn't rate Hardwick.
To have that hate sounds like somewhere along the line you've been hurt by Hardwick.
I don't take my footy that seriously.

I've forgotten atm which 1960's football coach famously said it - the manager of Celtic I think - but he suggested the secret to good coaching "is to keep the half of your team that hate you away from the half that are still undecided" 🤣

No.

He is the one that wrote it in a book and sold it to people. Then, did pressers. Then every media outlet picked it up and run stories on it to millions of reader, as it was an interesting story

I was one of those reader & reposted it here & made a few comments on it.

Again. Get pissed off at Dimma for saying it to begin with -OR -get pissed off at Cotchin for re-telling it to make an honest book that he can sell. All i did was read the story & have an opinion on it & shared that opinion on a Richmond football forum.

Then don't read my comments?

You asking me not to talk as i might say something that reminds you of a past trauma of some sort (soft trauma) is not a reasonable expectation to place on someone.

And honestly, if you dont think im a true supporter then i question how much you get out. I've written specific post about how i felt at Knighta's last game against the Bombers as well as other particular key moments for the club. About how i was at the Dome when Danny got spat on & had to seperate 2 old Richmond supporter men from punching on in front on one of their daughters. Leaving at half time Vs Geelong in 2007. Or perhaps i can tell you how i was at Windy Hill for when Carlton & Richmond came together to save our skin with a legends matcjh.

Or maybe i can tell you specific moments for when i was at the 2017 GF, or even 2020 in Brisbane..

People will always believe what they want to. Its why Q'anon exist. If you don't want to believe me as a real supporter then I really can't help you there, much like i can't help the Q'Anon losers who choose to believe their own version reality vs the actual reality.

HAHAHAHAAHAHAAHAHAaaaaaaaaaaaa...

Dimma's decline DID actually spell the end of our era. We may of had a few more opportunities at winning a flag before our stars fell away but it wasn't so much the talent of the playing group that dropped away but more so the culture. Dimma had worked with Cotchin & Jack along with Leppa, Fly and Kingsley to build a unified approach of positivity and trust. When Dimma's personal outlook began to fracture in 2020, his relationship shattered and so did the fatherly personae he had always had with the players.

The real downfall, began when Leppa left. Leppa was instrumental to the creation of our gameplan and he was a foil to Dimma's ideas. He was his closest advocate and gave him a strategic edge (like he's doing for Fly now) on game day. When that relationship fractured, and then Fly and Kingsley left, Dimma was left without his strongest and most innovative, backing.

When his onfield leaders and stars began to also fade, he had to start again with his messaging and he couldn't rely on his leaders any more to be his voice. He just didn't have the motivation to do it all alone.

So next year really is a new start. No Cotchin or Jack. No foundation coaches. No unwavering culture. All dynasties have to come to an end eventually and Dimma (and the rest of the club) did extraordinarily well to make so much hay as the sun shone, but I just wish Dimma could have help it together for a little longer.

Establishing a new positive culture needs to be Yze's first job. I wish Cotch was still there to help.

Agree, but that wasn't Dimma's or the clubs doing. That was an AFL decision in cutting the soft cap. Leppa said it himself and said the money wasn't there and he wasn't prepared to stick around and take the position from another young and inexperienced coach. He said everyone has a time limit and after returning for 4 years he felt his time was up, the soft cap made it easier for him to decide.

Beat me to it👍 Spot on, was more the decrease in the soft cap, there was no animosity between Dimma and Leppa

This actually looks like a book I wanna read now. If it's honest and not just fluff
Agree. Cotch comes across very honest in this book and provides fans an opportunity to hear what happened to the club especially before hardwick quit
