Spends a third of the match in the ruck, averages less than 4 hit outs a game?
Seen Essendon play? He doesn't take centre bounces often, he takes heaps around the ground to give Bellchambers relief. He would at the very least be in the ruck 25 percent of the time.

In fairness to the whole Daniher spends x amount of time in the ruck argument - he definitely spends a good 5 minutes each quarter or more in the ruck or up on the wing. Half the ruck contests he doesn't even really jump - so I wouldn't say he's a good tap ruckman. What he brings is his around the ground marking, some handy clearance work at times and his mobility advantage against other rucks plus obviously giving our main ruck a spell. Nobody is suggesting he's Max Gawn in there. Its pretty obvious he gets up the ground because he wins so many possessions compared to most key forwards.

I also don't think it negatively affects his goal totals by all that much. Joe certainly has had goals from taking advantage of his ruck opponents lack of defensive nous and he obviously is a long kick at goal. Maybe he'd kick another 10-15 goals PERHAPS but I don't think he would suddenly kick a ton more goals. It also helps him get into the game and like all forwards when his confidence is up he plays better.

The OP is spot on. He's going to win the Coleman as a 23 year old and isn't even close to topping out as a player. Plenty of room for improvement (set shot goal kicking, less time spent up the ground). 100 goals in a season is not out of the question in the near future.

Has also overtaken Naitanui as the most marketable player in the league. He's going to put bums in the seats for the next decade. Most entertaining player in the AFL. After he wins the Coleman it wouldn't surprise me if some of the biggest companies in the world (Pepsi, Adidas, Calvin Klein) get in contact with him to be the face of their brands.

The only people wanting that face to be associated with their brand would be the maker of monster cookies.

Essendon probably would have won if they just kept bombing long to Daniher yesterday.
Exactly. We played stupid football and didn't play to our main strength on the day; Daniher's height and athleticism against undersized, inexperienced opponents. Instead we chipped to no-man's land or a Doggy defender. Frustrating to watch but also there's much to be hopeful about if we can isolate him more often in mismatches, which I believe his extraordinary mobility should allow.

Thought the same thing about Buddy when he kicked 100 as a 21 year old. Doesn't always work out that way.

Calvin Klein - that's pretty hilarious. I also don't think the big companies in the world care one iota about AFL.

More like Vivid, Wicked Pictures, Playboy with that moustache of his ;)

Show you a stat that isn't kept?

Hahaha. You know people are struggling when that's the best you got.

Yep. If only Bellchambers had a better tank.
You made the claim yet refuse to back it up. Don't make baseless claims in future.

They also keep stats for absolutely everything these days, so don't be lazy and prove it to us.

Its not baseless. Its not my fault you don't watch games.

And no. They don't keep that stat, don't make baseless claims please. :)

EFC would 100% know Daniher's
Ruck minutes.
I'd imagine Champion Data would also have the figures somewhere

And are those freely available to the public?

No.

He's asking me to provide the impossible because he doesn't have a reasonable argument against my claim.

Except of course he hasn't made an argument. Just bleated prove the stat that can't be proved like it means something.

Well it does mean something if you can't prove it.
At present I could make the argument that Daniher rucks for 1% of the game or 70% and both would be neither right or wrong.
Fwiw Bellchambers is averaging 85.8% TOG this season, and Leunberger 83.5%

Sweet so that's at least 15% right there for Joey. And Belly goes forward regularly.

Seems like my 30% is about right.
