Daniher has loads of natural talent and size to be a quality fwd...but he's not there yet. I think he sometimes lacks confidence in his ability at times and doesn't have the grunt or arrogance you get with the great forwards. Buddy was strutting around and getting into opponents faces almost immediately. He booted 100 goals at the age of 21. Daniher is 24 and whilst he has similar attributes to Buddy, he doesn't have the same competitive mongrel or arrogance that Buddy uses to lift himself to another level.

People won't agree with me on this but he really needs to cut the jovial stuff out of his game if your not performing. Get angry with not being able to kick straight for goal and get angry with how the team is playing, footy seems like a fun chore for him not that there is anythong wrong with that if you produce the goods regularly which he isn't ATM.

Has an air about him of a bloke that thinks he's made it and doesn't have to work hard. He'll be fine but he's gotta get his head down and go back to basics.

They get compared a lot but he could learn quite a bit from Brown, just in terms of work rate and attitude. He isn't arrogant by any stretch but all you hear from the coaches at North is how he does his own research on upcoming opponents, stays back after training doing additional goal kicking every night, is ultra professional on the track etc.

So you claim my argument is poorly thought out & badly made, then proceed to outline exactly why I made my point in the first place and the validity of my argument. He’s either not able to play to his best due to this injury and should take a spell (a week or two maybe) to recover until he is, or he’s been over-rated if the injury isn’t impacting him substantially. It’s poor injury management if true and if he were to sustain another while recovering that would set him back further. Unless of course he’s been overrated and is cherry ripe.
I’ll give you a tip about arguing with LUC, you’ll be going for a long long time and you’ll get very very frustrated ;)

Ben has got to where he is in the game by doing exactly what you said. I remember watching him at werribee thinking got a bit of potential but never really thought he would make it. Seems very diligent and professional and knows the game very well which helps.

Well if he means better than Buddy in Rd6 he might be right, given he’ll be playing this weekend and. Buddy won’t.

I'd hold that statement. Buddy not playing would STILL be better than what Daniher gave today!
