I guess it balances out Unite Round.
No doubt. Would just think if you're hoping to increase attendances, it would be more beneficial to have at least 1 of the 3 teams play in Sydney on any given weekend. Same as Melbourne. I assumed that was half the reason they shoehorned in a 3rd team for both cities.

CCM isn't too far from Sydney in fairness. Quicker for me to get to their stadium than Allianz haha.

Really? That's crazy haha.

I've always hated the stadiums in Sydney for that reason. It's a bit better with the light rail but take Melbourne's big two for instance. One is right outside Southern Cross station, the other has two stations on either side of it.

You can obviously get to both, they're just not as accessible as I think they should be.

The express trains from Hornsby definitely weigh in favour of CCM, but the Metro probably helps anyone not close enough to Hornsby to outweigh the speed of the Metro to Central.

What's Gosford from you? That would be a great place to watch once a fortnight.

Reckon it's about 30-40 minutes when you jump on the express. I've done it a few times for Adelaide games, it's a great day out, feels a bit like being back in England. Jump off the train, go to the pub, walk to the ground, nice and easy.

EDIT: Just had a look. If I wanted to go to the Sydney FC game on Sunday I could jump on a train at 4pm from Hornsby and be at Gosford at 4.40 in time for a few beers before the game.

If the same game was at Allianz, with the Metro I could now jump on a train at 3.50 and be there by 4.40, so it is getting more equal.

Might have to get to Gosford over the holidays and check it out. Didn't know there were pubs within walking distance.

I've never done an away game at Parra before. What's it like?

Have done Mariners away in the early years, was plenty of fun.

What's the Mariners fan base catchment? Northern suburbs at all?
