A-League - Round 7: Newcastle United Jets v Brisbane Roar

This is the match that will decide if Roar are the most difficult sporting side to beat in Australian history. A huge achievement and hopefully we can get over the line against a side that seems to lift against us for whatever reason. I think the record has played on the teams mind the past couple of weeks so hopefully once this week is out of the way we can play a little better and with less fear than our past two games.

bumpy looking pitch up there in Newcastle

Complete contrast to Gosford's pitch, it may be the sand based soil that grows the turf that diminishes 'quality' of football

no more harper and cockerill for the night :)

I dont think Glory have ever beaten Roar in Bris and dont expect that to change next week. Roar have the record in the bag

Very gutsy win for Roar. I was worried for a while there, but it seemed like Newcastle ran themselves into the ground and the inability to make a 3rd on field sub probably hurt them quite a bit. Ref was awful.

Beat them 4-2 a couple of seasons back.

Actually whenever we go to Brisbane the goals flow. I can recall a 3-3, a 3-2 last season, we got thrashed 4-1 as well a while back.
