You miss my point. Week to week we all live the game and ride the results. We aren’t good enough to win the flag because we’ve had a 10 year regime that doesn’t punish losing enough, doesn’t chase the difference between winning and losing and makes excuses for their failings at every opportunity.you're mixing two different things here IMO.
If you have the mentality that we are not good enough, then you would get over a finals loss pretty quickly. low expectations.
But if you really believe we can do it - and then we fall short, then the hunger to get closer and do what it takes to get closer next time is even stronger. If that means topping up our list with a Kerr or Cousins then thats what needs to be done.
We have had the draft picks but we don’t have the list. We have a trade week coming up and we could possibly get the list. We shall see what transpires.
Meanwhile I will enjoy a win on Saturday and be disappointed at a loss the following week. More than happy to be wrong and go to another GF and even happier to be wrong again. I’ll always be disappointed at a lost opportunity though and I only wish the club internally was more so and less celebratory of second level accomplishment.
