this is worse than the Geelong and WC losses. And imagine if Franklin had his kicking boots on?

Be interested to hear what Eade has to say in the presser. The ass whipping we had to have?

Not good in the 2nd half. Bit like a game in 1990 when Geelong went from a point in front...to losing by 115 points when Dunstall & co went wild. No more sure a lesson though, the Dogs need K.P.P's in modern footy to beat teams with big bodies.

Pitiful. They dominated the entire game, just couldn't shoot. They had more players out injured than us, that is no longer an excuse. They are quite simply a mile ahead of us.

Give us some answers Rocket.

Yeah exactly, we only dominated the scoreboard at quarter time because of Franklins bad kicking. All day we were the second rate team on the ground.

After quarter time, we looked tired, disinterested, not prepared to man up, the reversal of skill level was amazing, the constant fumbling, etc etc. We are physically weak - need to build body strength over the summer as a matter of urgency. Our centre square work is pitiful. No longer do West or Cross control that aspect of our game. We get smashed there every week. There was no intensity at all, what a disappointing year.

thats right ---> it is our MIDFIELD, not our lack of KPP that is hurting us. I`m sick of people putting our poor performances down to not having a "gorrilla"-like forward.
I guarantee you if we had Jonothon Brown and Nick Riewoldt prowling around our forward line today we still would have lost and lost very very easily.
Our midfield are pathetic around stoppages, have a severe lack of strength, lack AFL standard footskills, dont run hard enough forward and continually put their teammates under pressure through horrible handballing.

The ball barely even gets into our forward line due to our C Grade midfield and correct me if I`m wrong, but it''s pretty haard to have an influence when the ball is up the other end of the ground..........

That was pretty much our best 22, with only Ben McGlynn to come back and only Mark Williams and Jacobs who are both out for the season would have come back in, so it was a pretty strong side compared to yours with the outs you've got. You guys were on fire and beautifully skilled early, but goes to show how multiple big bodies up forward can wear a side away. Pick/trade smart because you still have a brilliant 'core' of players. Topping up with a few good big blokes will see you right back in the mix.

Which is a worry, seeing as we've used the majority of our early draft picks in the past 5 years on midfielders... why are we so poo around the contest?

Sack the club, in fact, sack everyone!

What an insipid, woeful, pathetic, disgraceful, pitiful, inadequate, incompotent, weak, useless, feeble, deficient, lamentable and deplorable bunch of pansies. (Have I missed any?)

Fair dinkum, if I didn't love 'em so much, I would consign myself to the funny farm.

Thanks, but when you get smashed by 84 points after leading by 20 at quarter time, the "you're still a great team, with a great future" comments mean squat.

The Bulldogs were a bloody disgrace today, it was embarassing and humiliating and something I never ever thought I would have to experience at the start of the season.

But, I'm sure we'll get the same old excuses again this week from the club, and no real answers.

Lack of commitment, lack of intensity, lack of spirit, lack of skills...the list could go on forever.

In September, each and every player at the club needs to have a good hard look at themselves.

As a club and as individuals, we have lost all respect in this competition.

We have deficientcies all over the ground. Our midfield, even though there are big names in it always fails to deliver.

Out backline is shot. Without Harris we would be gone. Doogs did look good down there. Maybe he has found his spot.

Forwardline...well what forwardline. Tiller needs a lot of development. No tall targets.

But we're the super hard running Bulldogs aren't we?

We can run any team off their feet!

Fair dinkum, 16 goals to 2 in the second half is something you'd expect to see in the under 12's.

The season was there for the taking after round 15. Since then we've collected a grand total of two points out of 24.

We needed a couple of blokes to stand up in the third term when they were getting on top, but unsurprisingly, the usual suspects went missing.

The most gutless half of football I've seen in a good ten years.

Agree.

How can things go bad that quick? Six weeks ago we were 9 and 6.

Half time today we were a goal up!

Embarassing.

I think its back to the drawing board for a total restructure of our team. Players like Darcy and Grant through no fault of there own just cant stand up any more and i think that the time is right for Granty to pull the pin as we are not going to get him into a grand final and regardles of how fit he is feeling i dont think he will get through another year without missing a large amount of games.
Westy and Johno should go on for a couple more seasons and lets hope by then there will be others standing up and taking us to a new era .

Wild horses couldn't hold me back from seeing Darcy, Grant(?) run around for the last time. Be a very sad day indeed. And i hope doggies supporters turn out in droves.
Agree.

As bad as they have been for the last six weeks I think all Bulldogs supporters will turn up.

How could you turn your back on such great club servants?

Here here, i agree. Ill be there, as i was today and i hope alot of other supporters get along to give Darcy Robbins and maybe Grant the send off they deserve.

I'll go next week, but it will ONLY be because I want to pay tribute to these champions of the club, who have provided years of great memories and have given it all for the jumper.
