Do we need excuses?

We were shit after 1/4 time today.

Every Tom, Dick and Harry would know that we need hard bodied players. The current list just wont do it for us.

We have a great young list to work around. Trade for or draft ready made big (not just tall) bodied players.

All we really need is some bloody mongrel about us. Show the opposition that we can hurt you if you get in our way. At the moment we will move out of thier way. Lets get BIG, MUSCLE and some damn MONGREL about us.

I have not given up hope. Eade is the man for the job. I love this club and im here for the long haul!

thats right ---> it is our MIDFIELD, not our lack of KPP that is hurting us. I`m sick of people putting our poor performances down to not having a "gorrilla"-like forward.
I guarantee you if we had Jonothon Brown and Nick Riewoldt prowling around our forward line today we still would have lost and lost very very easily.
Our midfield are pathetic around stoppages, have a severe lack of strength, lack AFL standard footskills, dont run hard enough forward and continually put their teammates under pressure through horrible handballing.

The ball barely even gets into our forward line due to our C Grade midfield and correct me if I`m wrong, but it''s pretty haard to have an influence when the ball is up the other end of the ground..........

your right in a way, but wrong in another.

the midfield stuff up because they try to string togeter handballs to run it into the forward line because their scared to kick it long as there is no big tall strong bodies in there to take a mark and kick it straight.

ps. how was skippers almost spekkie in the last qtr!

I will only go if it is Chris Grant's last game because we haven't seen him much this year. I've gone to the 4 of the last 6 games to cheer on Darcy and the team and they have lost by a total of 288 points in those 4 matches. I'm not going to waste another beautiful Sunday afternoon watching that crap.

Trade Cooney?!?!?! Get a grip people; he's the best thing we've got.

Its been a shit season - yes. But we can't afford to go totally insane and trade anybody who we think is worth something on the market - you risk going down the Carlton route.

Cooney is an essential player to this side, trying to get rid of him is lunacy.

He's played about 4 decent games this year, while having no impact in 10. Unless he improves next year he's in a bit of trouble.

Only trade if we get a great offer though, he's still young and may be a great player. I don't see him as being in our top 10 players though.

Don't worry about it angry...after 3 or 4 weeks of internet screaming you'll give up like the rest of us sane people who actually watch games, rather than listen (read) what "professional" "commentators" have to say...

Just into the 3rd quarter the Inside 50's were 41-20 Hawthorn's way...we were 6 points up (at the time) yet it's our forward line that's the problem...
GOOD ****ING LORD!!!! HELLO!!!!!!!!
(I'm sure someone in this thread mentioned Fev...can't find it. Lucky!)

But yeah...whoever suggested this in the first place clearly had too many $8 cougars.

He's not in trouble. He's the best thing we've got going for us (alongside Cross and Boyd).

Yes, its been a poor season but its no reason for a total cleanout. Just make the necessary changes and draft well (easier said than done, I know).

For the record - he's averaged 20 touches, about three tackles and a goal a game this season. I know stats don't tell everything; but he's only 21 going on 22. Not everyone can be a Judd or a Franklin, he'll take some time but for a 21-year old to be as good as he is, you'd be mad to give him the arse.

If you're looking for the number of the truck, Its plates were [B.Sewell]

Not a lot of positives to give to you guys, It must be frustrating after such a promising end to last season, bearing this in mind, the Hawks will be set up for the same type of fall if we fail to achieve the same heights next year.

All the best next year guys. :thumbsu:

Until we are able to develop that ferocious hunger at the footy that your guys have, we'll be going nowhere.

I think everyone should not go next week just to make a point to Robbo and Luke that due to the last six weeks their career efforts have meant nothing and they deserve a poor send off. Who's joining W.Bulldogs and I?

Wild horses couldn't hold me back from seeing Darcy, Grant(?) run around for the last time. Be a very sad day indeed. And i hope doggies supporters turn out in droves.

Same here - if you follow the Bulldogs and love the club and you are able to go then your support should be totally unconditional.

I acknowledged his youth. And I think we should keep him... but everyone is tradeable. Except mabe Higgins... and Everitt :D

I'd like to see you repeat that statement next week ... when they serve up another effort like today for Darcy's, Robbo's last game.

... and my gut feel right now is that something is festering at the Kennel, somethings not right. The current effort is very Rhode-era like.

Couldn't agree more, they are clearly playing for themselves and not the team - even our so called leaders!

I cannot see how they could turn things around for next week...to be honest we were only 2-3 players away from our best 22 (say Higgins, Griffen and Hahn)...we are in serious trouble

I believe whatever good games we got out of Cooney this year was a bonus. From what I saw of him during the pre season, I did not believe he would even play this year. He virtually did not have a pre season - he struggled to walk let alone run and participate in any worthwhile training. I just hope he is over the injury that obviously curtailed his preseason and he can gain some real fitness and return to the exciting player that he can be.

^^^^

EXACTLY RIGHT!! whoever is in on this ridiculous "trade Cooney wagon" either were not paying attention during the preseason, have very short fuses or know nothing about football. Seriously.

Leave the bloke alone, he is 21. He is going to be a fantastic player and at least he has (most of the time) had the hardness and desire to attack the ball and the man with ball this year.
Unfortunately there haven't been many other players in that category at our club this year.

I have and always supported the Dogs unconditionally, like others I was not happy with our performances of late but I would never not go to a game because they were having a bad season.

I'm with you Aquaumarinejewel. It has been a very disappointing year, especially the way we are finishing it off. But a good review over the off season to find where we want wrong along with some handy high draft picks and we will be back next year. We might not be Geelong next year, but we will be a better team for it. True supporters stick out the bad which makes the good twice as sweet:)

Spot on :thumbsu:

As for trading the Coon, he is the type of midfielder we are asking for - and most of the team have had a bad year, so why single him out.
6th in the Ching and leading the pups by double the votes for second.

Let's give Darce, Robbo and Granty the send off they deserve.

I'm 1 point behind the leader in my tipping competition and I'll be tipping the Dogs this week - get me over the line boys, I need that money! :)
