There is 3 A-grade teams without coaches. Has anyone got any inside running regarding the respective coaching appointments at Xavs, De La and Old Trinity???

Have heard Lathlean wants to coach again but Xavs have already made an in principle agreement with a highly sought after coach after Lathlean announced he wasn't coaching in 2011.

Any other news.

New coach of trinity is adam andrews, who was an assistant/reserves coach last year. he is an ex-trinity player, former b&f winner who played up until about 2007 and has been involved for the last few years in coaching roles. top guy should bring some good stability and discipline to the young list. gerard sholley is also staying on as senior assistant which is great, he has great vafa coaching experience being ex-xavs and old ivanhoe.

No chance at all the Lethlean will be coaching Xavs again. Has twins on the way, and his schedule at AFL House is not getting lighter.

Names being bandied around are Gowers, McDonald (although has another year to run on his contract at the school), & Woodruff. Would not be surprised however if the coach who is appointed is from outside the club.

Is it Luke Beveridge for the Xavs or De La job? I noticed he is not at Collingwood anymore.

Think De La but woudlnt be suprised if both were chasing him. He did amazaing things with St. Bedes from C --> A. Wouldnt disapoint the strong contingent of St.Peters boys down at De La as Luke is a former St.Peters jnr and his Family are legendary down at the club.

Very true OX1. A big contingent of ex St Peters lads at the D’s. The last two U19 premiership teams full of St Peters juniors with a few more in the seniors. Luke’s sons play at St Peters and his family have a long history of involvement at the club. Might just sway things in De La’s favour.
