A draft lottery.

That would be pretty tight.

Something else which is tight are the Australian Opals uniforms. Every time I watch them, I find myself thinking, is australia the last woman's basketball team in the world which still requires their players to wear form fitting lycra? If so, why?

I am not complaining, in fact I applaud the move, but is there any official explanation for it other than that some dirty bugger has absolute veto right over all suggestions to update the uniforms out of the 80s?

A lottery would ensure even distribution amongst all clubs and mean that every club will be trying to win the premiership every year, it has to happen. It would also stop clubs tanking for years and then 8 years later coming up with a superteam that goes back2back2back

The draft system is fine as it is, unless you want it like the EPL with only a handfull of teams able to contend.
If it wasnt for the current draft system, Hawthorn wouldnt be where they are today.

EPL doesn't have a lottery system. A lottery system would keep the comp even while allowing teams the incentive to strive for a premiership every year.

No shit, but it would turn out the same, with the big teams playing for the cup each year

How so? It would be an even draft every year . . .

Well say melbourne didnt receive a top 5 pick this year could you see them being something remotely close to competitive, i know a no.1 draft pick wont put them in the hunt, but it will get the ball rolling.

I never thought a hawthorn supporter would complain about this system, seeing as you topped you're list up from this very draft system.

Did anybody catch the final of the womens beach volleyball?

Pouring rain and the US girls are in their skimpy WHITE bikinis, rolling around in the sand celebrating their victory.

All they needed was a bloke with a moustache to walk on the the sand and say " I have come to clean ze pool "...............

Highlight of the Olympics!

It doesn't look like any of you are genuinely enjoying the volleyball on its merits as a sport.

I mean come on... One team hits it over the net and then the other team HAS TO HIT IT BACK! Repeat x 1000

There are a range of skills to remember - you have to make sure you hit it over the net, while also remembering not to not hit it over the net! And it's such a tough sport, they wear knee pads. When's the last time you saw a sissy footy player wearing KNEEPADS?
