Surely he can take Robert Gray's spot in the forward pocket - who is that, anyway?
Don't watch a lot of football?

He is one of our many young players who are on the list who deserve a game weekly but unfortunately can't fit in.... (Krakouer, Lower, Thomas, Thomson, Symes (was) to name a few.

check him out at the 16 second mark, not bad poise for a guy drafted at pick 55 in his early games, many liken him to Wanganeen

Ok, that looks like a credible player to me, my apologies.
Hey, I'm stuck in Canberra, so I don't get to see that many games.
Still, I least I know about Westhoff.

Ok, will do.

It's a shame he copped the injuries or he'd be on 45 games as a 19 year old.

Great, good for him.

Houlihan, as much maligned as he is, deserves credit where it's due.

He has been a very good servant of the Carlton Football Club, and will most probably go on to play 300 games.

To say that a player that has played 20 odd games in his career is better than someone like that, is not only silly, but disrespectful.

There are just no limitations for Blues supporters during the off-season, is there?

Even Houlihan is being talked up! Geez, is this the same Houlihan whose head your mob will be calling for mid-season in '08?

I understand the concept of this discussion and agree a 19yo cannot be compared to a 25yo, 150gamer but are you saying you wouldnt be doing the same thing if it was Marc Murphy compared to an Alan Didak?

I'd rather Houlihan based on flexibility, but I'd prefer Clint Bartram, as an overall footballer.

I wasn't exactly talking him up. Would you prefer me to lie and say that he's 29 and has played 55 games? He's approximately 25 and has played 150+ games. That's not talking him up, it's a fact - and it's time that you learn the difference.

As I said, I was stating the truth about what he's done, I wasn't talking him up. And notice that I said 'much maligned'? That means that he has his doubters and his haters, and there are plenty of them, myself included - but he has done what he has done, and that's EXACTLY what I said.

I'm telling you I wouldn't compare Didak to Murphy, because it's bloody stupid to do so. Just as it is to compare Bartram to Houlihan.

I'd rather Houlihan based on flexibility, but I'd prefer Clint Bartram, as an overall footballer.

I'm not going to be drawn into an argument about who is better, because that's not fair on either of them.

Bartram s.h.i.t.s on houlihan....
Can Bartram the tagger kick? ;)

I'd prefer Houlihan as an overall footballer than Goldsack and Bartram because he's won matches for Carlton when he played forward in the first half of his career.

Goldsack is only getting a mention because there aren't many tall defenders taken past pick 50 who play AFL.

Well thats the idea, well done, not many people have grasped the concept in this thread!

Are you actually trying to say he is no good? Surely not... you watch football right?
