For those interstate or overseas (or even just don't get the Herald Sun), they produced a magazine yesterday highlighting all thats good in the world in relation to the BubbleDome.

I've scanned it at 300dpi and pdf'ed it. It's a big file (67+Mb), so consider yourself warned.

This may get put elsewhere but I thought it relevant to all and sundry in this forum, given the amount of discussion this stadium has produced.

Enjoy.

thanks for the trouble of doing that. Who's going on Friday Night? I'm not a big League fan but I wouldn't mind going. Anybody going to the Muscat testimonial?

I'm going to the Friday night test, possibly also to the Storm vs Broncos match on Sunday too if I don't head to Kardinia Park instead. I didn't buy tickets to the Muscat game. I might though if I like the stadium enough that I just cant stay away!

I see the great big new free stadium was only just over 1/3 rd full today (12,000) for the thugby. What a waste of $300 million.

Yawn. Typical anti football/rugby zealot Aussie Rules only redneck trying to take potshots at rugby league. Funninly enough, the G was only just over 1/3rd full for the Hawkers vs Swans game, and that with a Hawks team coming off two wins in a row and playing some good footy. You do realise your attitudes towards RL and football are simply going to drive fans away that follow both footy and the 2 other codes don't you?

Had a quick look inside on my way home from the G

Its very intimate - looks like you could pick out people you know from the opposite stand.

Looking forward to a game which is worth paying the dosh for.

PS the 12,000 proves the stadium was built the right size for domestic use

well you tell the government to stop putting ridiculously expensive fancy roofs on new stadia and they won't cost $300 million.

The only argument remaining to the Aussie Rules fanatic - we get the big crowds.

Not that it matters, but FYI:

* Port Adelaide v Richmond (Yesterday at AAMI Stadium, Adelaide) Attendance 16,700 = just under 1/3rd full

* St Kilda v Adelaide (Yesterday at Etihad Stadium, Melbourne) Attendance 28,700 = just over 1/2 full

And,

Channel 9 realises Monday AFL footy will be "dead" and will insert virtual/fake fans to fill the empty seats when it broadcasts AFL games!

Which, makes sense. I wouldn't be surprised if Aussie Rules eventually markets itself purely as a virtual game on PlayStation - at least PlayStation has a global audience!

Yeh the AFL's really struggling with attendances. Maybe they could get some of those 3 million imaginary tourists you were boasting about earlier today to turn up.

Where did they go?

Dude why are you arguing from what was obviously the type of comment that would be trying to get a reaction, it's not even an A-league crowd, it's a NRL crowd. Seriously you could of just waited until Melbourne Victory play there and sell the place out every game having one of the best sporting atmopsheres in australia (besides Sydney of course).

2 points:
1. Olympic Park seated 14,000 - more than adequate for today's crowd.
2. The new stadium was supposed to produce an increase in crowds for the Storm, yet after 2 games they are back to where they have always been.
Storm are doomed.

well then zach, you should build a time machine, go back 2 years and tell the govenment to not spend all that money on a fancy roof, becuase the strom are going to get caught out for breaching the salary cap and no ones going to go to their games anymore

Had to have a little chuckle at this one. For someone who thinks that soccer is an "insignificant sport", he's going to a helluva lot of soccer matches.

Maybe he follows several sports. He could have one sport as his favourite while still enjoying watching and attending other sports.

What I have said all along! Even the soccer will struggle to fill this stadium every week esp Melbourne Heart.
