That surprises me. We get 3m of local activity on average, and it is often higher with night games.

Bars, restaurants, motels and hotels etc.
A full Eagles crowd and travelling NM fans filling hotels all week. It'll bring in domestic tourism at the very least.
Geelong is a lot bigger place. They don't even have a stadium so it's all temporary stands etc which costs money. No proper entrance gates, fencing etc. Freo or Eagles fans won't stay in a hotel, they'll go back up.

Yeah. North are going to be on Perth for two straight weeks.
Thats fine but I doubt anyone is taking a week off work just to watch North.

Sounds very Friday Night Lights when the players built a stadium to play in. 😂

All week?
The deal has them playing Freo one weekend and WCE the next or vice versa. The idea being to get NM fans over for both games and a week in Perth.

Whether it works remains to be seen. They are quite poor after all.

Just hope it doesn't set a dangerous precedent allowing powerful clubs to buy home games.

I was responding to "not Perth".
Perth is the more likely destination to benefit imo. Eagles fans will buy tickets and fill bars.
