Bailey Scott was QLDs U6 MVP from the championships

Given the competition for his services it is good timing that we are due for state of the art facilities and hopefully **fingers crossed** we will have a good and exciting team for him to come to.

If he's U16s wouldn't he be a 2018 draftee?
That's right. So it looks like this at the moment when it comes to potential first rounders:

2016 - Bowes and Scheer
2017 - Foster
2018 - Scott

Although Bailey Scott plays for Broadbeach and Queensland, it won't necessarily be smooth sailing when it comes to recruiting him. His father, Robert Scott, played 132 games for Geelong and 113 games for North Melbourne. So he's father-son eligible for both of those clubs as well as being academy eligible for the Suns. No doubt the Cats and Kangas will pursue him heavily if he looks like he'll be a future first round pick.

The new first class training facilities next to Metricon could be a big factor in his decision so it's lucky the Suns have that coming later this year.

Is it a bidding system or can he nominate one of the 3 ? If he can nominate it would put us in a good position as he can stay home , also his old man was dropped from Norths premiership team after playing the prelim then was delisted , so i dare say there is no goodwill there.

Last year Bailey Rice, son of Dean Rice, was in the same position as he could have nominated St Kilda or Carlton under F/S - chose St Kilda and then just waited for a club to bid and then St Kilda had the right to match.

Personally I would think we would be in pole position. I'm not overly familiar with the daily workings of the academy system but surely we are seeing him at least once a week, putting the time and resources in, the pull of family and friends. I would be surprised if he didn't select us.

2017. Crossley (should be added to NAB AFL Academy squad) , Foster, Dawson.

Heard of Crossley, have not heard of Foster - is he in the class of Bowes and Scheer? Is it likely he gets a bit before our 1st rd pick next year (~8-12)?
